I’ve been admitted to the hospital a few times for my ulcerative colitis. I was in my highest spirits when I was placed in a room with a view of a field and trees. Every day, I saw a little groundhog I named Franklin. ❤️ Nature has always brought me so much peace and comfort, even in my worst/painful times.
The ‘ice challenge ‘ ! You’re really becoming a dedicated youtuber! I used to have an interior plantscaping business. We installed and maintained tropical plants in indoor settings, offices, hotels, restaurants, homes, malls, etc.. ~ The more urbanized society became, the more popular having indoor plants became. As a commercial enterprise, plantscaping started gaining ground in the 1970’s and by the late 80’s it was firmly established as a desirable component of interior spaces. I think the popularity of bringing part of nature into purely human spaces is because it acts as a counterweight to our austere, hermetically sealed, ‘air conditioned ‘, electronically lit and powered, computerized daily habitats. Plants bring life into our denatured environs. ~ More recently in vogue are living plant covered interior walls and turning previously ignored rooftops into parks and vegetable gardens for the health and enjoyment of the tenants. ~ I believe there are studies that show a correlation between plants in a work setting and employee productivity and satisfaction. ~ Anyhow, I thought you might find my experience of interest. - peace P.S. - I came across a great video on yt called; Singapore : biophilic city on channel linda blagg. In which Prof.Tim Beatley, author of the book Biophilic Cities and Prof. Peter Newman, director of the NYU / CUSP Institute spent a week delving into the ongoing reintegration of nature into modern Singapore. There is a link to the resulting academic paper in the description of the video.
+John OBrien Gardener Hey, whatever I can do to illustrate my points 😉 I agree with your thoughts on indoor plants - I think we all know, at least in our subconscious, that we should be engaging with nature.
Hey there!! I found your videos while looking up some information about how I can help to save the land that is being developed behind my house. There is a huge ecosystem back there that no one seems to care about but I look at it and love it and feel sooo connected to it everyday. I really appreciate the information in your videos, and I really really appreciate the work you do! I hope someday I can do what you do! Keep educating people and saving the world girl!!! 💗💗💗
Great I am sharing this with my church congregation today in our worship service, it fits the fourth Sunday of Advent theme, love, bio-philia and in the NT philia is one of the four words for love.
And now, a moment of silence for those who live in areas without convenient access to a natural environment...

That's wonderful! I think church is an excellent place to talk about biophilia and caring for Nature, as we humans are stewards of the Earth.
