  • I had a idea come together one afternoon with a few free hours so i whipped up a log splitter for my skid steer. Mig welding was the best option and it showed but it worked good after some repairs. Thanks for watching!

    When you’re using the torches, use a straight edge for a guide. It helps tremendously. And one thing that helps more than any advice I can imagine telling you without being boring. Is to angle the torch head towards the direction of the cut. If you’re cutting in a pulling motion, you’ll angle the tip bask towards yourself. Akways angle the tip tiwards the direction of cut. If you’re holding the tip at a 90 degree Angle to the plate. Itll look like yours did. It don’t take much angle to achieve better results but it requires some.

    Nice video , I did the same myself some time ago but I fitted it on the back of a backhoe , worked well , I hope your alternator is ok after the welding

      I’ve welding on a bunch of vehicles and haven’t had issues 🤷‍♂️ just my experiences. I’ve heard people say you shouldn’t. But I’ve managed a lot of things you couldn’t/shouldn’t. Hahaha. Thanks for the comment and watching! Stay safe.
