1956 Ford F-100 Episode 36 - Altman Easy Latch Kit Installation

In this episode I install an Altman Easy Latch kit from Trique Manufacturing. This would be the same for 1953, 1954, 1955 Ford F100, F250, etc.

You should have a gasket behind the striker plate

just curious, what would happen if you turned the washer upside down, or in the cup out direction ? I have a 55. Really enjoyed your video

I think I tried that also, the cup of the washer is much bigger than the hole so it wouldn't help center either. Thanks for watching!

The Altman kit is lacking a little in the engineering department...

It would have been nice for them to include some shims for the striker but the mechanism itself is much better than factory. I also wish they could have made it lock like the way the original did but otherwise I'm very happy with it so far.
