- It's time to double check the batteries in your fire alarm because this episode of 'BEHIND THE SOUND' is going to be HOT! Or perhaps just because it's a conscientious thing to do... Either way, I sit down and have a good hard chat with, ugh... myself, about the latest @singitliveworld recording of The Trammps song 'Disco Inferno'. Like all songs, disco related or not, they take work in preparing to record to present as a quality video for TH-cam, and because one doesn't like to blow one's own trumpet without justification, take a look for yourself to see what went into putting this particular song together.

What I love about the "short snippet to show what it sounds like in the room" is that Damien's awesome bass groove STILL shines through.

Next, a tip of the fedora for Crafty on trumpet - what a treat for the ears from you and Lachlan! Lastly, your Behind the Sound camera clips deepen our awe for Mr. Producernerd's magical blending of groove, horns, and vocals to create that satisfaction chain reaction! Thanks mates!
He never tries to make himself seem perfect or faultless; he always gives most of the credit to the others; he doesn't seem to get offended quickly, even when all eyes turn towards him when he misses a beat or a stab; he handles criticism (and irritation) well.......

Thanks for the Behind the Sound update Crafty. What about doing an interview with Damien. Bass players and Drummers are rarely seen or interviewed and as you well know are invariably at the back of the band but provide the basis of all the songs. be interesting to hear from them. Thanks.

Loved seeing you play trumpet on this song! Darren pulled off a wonderful mix (as usual). I love it when he gets to sing on a video. I can tell from the raw camera audio that his room is treated really well. I had a lot of issues getting cymbal splash out of my vocal mics for our first video, so will probably be doing some more treatment to my room and explore some good mic options (short of putting the drummer in a cage or behind a shield)
