Greetings from Scotland! "It did not go so well!" From what I know and what I saw, you did very well for the first time Cassie! He makes it look easy, but I know that he has 30 years advantage on you and that crane has so many ways to move and manipulate, it is NOT easy at all! I would bet my life that after one week on this rig you would be pretty close to perfect! I just have to say, great sound in this video Cassie, the V8 really pounding through! Jocke seems like a really nice laid back guy and no religion, that impresses me always! I abandoned religion when I was 9yo, never looked back and that was 60 years ago! As always an interesting great video Cassie! Health and happiness young lady!
Hahahah, it was intense to watch the crane part!!! 😆 I know I wouldn't straight away have the courage to hop into a crane. It's not because of it would be totally impossible for me. But I suppose it would feel a bit embarrassing when somebody is watching you. I could MAYBE have a go on a crane, like in total peace, no spectators. Alltho then I would feel unsafe with all the responsibility and not wanting to break anything XD. I do have driven a mini excavator when I was 13. And also in trucking school we had mid-size wheel loader. But that's a loooong time ago. I feel I have just enough bravery to hop in those big wheel loaders that are used loading woodchip trucks but even that is going to require some time to get used to. Hopefully sometime in my life. Would be neat!! Thank you for yet another part of the timber truck!! It is really awesome to see 'on field' action like this from the screen!
Haha yeah! Wanting to be perfect on the first try and stuff feels like a big pressure also. I remember when I was riding along with a crane truck driver in school many years ago, and on the last few days I got to drive the crane. And I remember that magical feeling when it started to feel like the crane was an extension of myself kinda. Like me and the crane was one unit 🤩 But it took a lil practice first heh. The father of one of my school mates broke his gearbox the day before Christmas and had to back up his loaded dump truck some 10 km to the company garage.

Jo, det stämmer. Förutsatt att du har rätt antal axlar på bil och släp - jag tror du måste ha 4 axlar på lastbilen och 5 på släpet, samt rätt avstånd mellan axlarna på hela fordonet bil+släpet för att kunna ha 74ton totalvikt. Och denna totalvikt gäller endast BK4 vägar i Sverige. Från och med den 1/12 i år (2023) så har även totala längden på lastbilsekipage utökats till 34,5m. Dock vet jag ej vad för totalvikt som gäller på ett 34,5m långt fordon. Det får nån annan som har mer koll informera om.

I bet you would be great on the crane after a week or two. He is a good teacher who relates it to something you have driven before like an excavator.
