Filipino Reactor. Keeping it real and natural.
I am Nephi Acaling. I am native to Bacolod City but currently living outside the Philippines due to job assignment. I’ve lived in different countries like Singapore, Japan and United States due to job assignments. I was in the US when I started this channel thus the confusion to some where I am truly based.
At a time, I was a band vocalist performing every Friday and Saturday night at a local bar chain but recently decided to quit from my band to focus on my TH-cam Channel and my full-time job as an engineer.
I was a member of the Filipino Voice Symphony where I was taught by professional chorale singers (e.g. former soprano from UP Madrigal Singers). Our choral group actually bagged the Gold Medal in the International A cappella Championships held in Singapore in 2011.
I was the Glee Club president and was a trainer for various singing competitions when I was in the university - all these were humbling experiences for me.
WHAT IS THE GOAL?
My mission is to promote music among different regions and try to make people from different countries relate to each other through music and singing. I have always believed that even small gestures in understanding similarities and differences towards others may actually lead to greater awareness about countries and their people.
In this modern world full of things that divide humanity, it is but perfect to put efforts in re-uniting and building bridges among all of us.
I have come to a point of trying to find a greater purpose in life, something beyond just being happy for a moment. Happiness in life is more meaningful if we choose to be useful, be honorable, be compassionate, and make a difference.

Sy org jogja,,tp bnyk kawan dari batak medan dll,,jika satu org pegang gitar,,3 org atau lebih bernyanyi itu sudah langsung bagi suara sopran tenor bass 1-2-3-4 dst,,sambil angkat gelas tuak batak yg membuat suara makin glowing

Been seeing your reactions many many times Mr. Acaling and loved them all. As Indonesian myself I too am amazed by my fellow Batak countrymen whenever they sing. I don't know whether it's the water they drink or what that they have such wonderful voice. I think it's fair enough to say that whenever three Bataknese get together and start singing and get to that harmonizing point, they suddenly turn "the Bee Gees"

Orang batak keras2 memang karakternya bicara suara lantang tapi hati nya baik teman sy org batak..horas maho.. teman dari tapanuli toba mandailing karo..slam dari ntb lombok.7thn sy disumatera dumai riau.
That is like normal in Bataknese, they have talent for singing, even also kids, teenager, and old generation and mostly otodidak w/o vocal course.

Tanah Batak melahirkan orang2 yang bisa nyanyi dengan suara tinggi perbandingan nya 100:2 dari 100 org Batak hanya 2 yg fals,atau GK bisa nyanyi dan saya salah satu ny yg gak bisa nyanyi🤣🤣

Im a Nias person(North Sumatera). I don't understand Batak language.
But, yeah Batak songs are very good and mostly use high notes.

Nephi should try to learn bataknesse languange. it will make you love the songs more than now. Because the batak song is so meaningfull. bataknesse song ussually wrote from the life experience, so it's touch the heart deeply.

Nephi... Orang Batak and Pinoy are similar... They will never feel enough to sing flat medium note... High note is a must.. So a lot of them are actually way better than TV singers.. Or even what so called existing divas. They're just underrated. Not like in your country.. TV singers and divas are very excellent..
Batakness also like to eat Lechon (BBQ pork) with Beer. We called that panggang B2 and the traditional beer is Tuak
