Honestly, Blue Lions just hit different compared to the other routes. They all have some sort of history with each other, except Ashe. But even then, Ashe has a whole main mission to himself, followed up by a mission for Sylvain.
They have this tangled very tight friend group with Ashe really being the only outsider considering Annette and Mercedes were already friends. Dedue and Dimitri have been together since Duscur; Dimitri, Ingrid, Sylvain, and Felix are this friend group that is partly reconnecting after considerable absence. Golden Deer are dysfunctional but in that vaguely funny sort of way while the Black Eagles… either are irrevocably broken or rally together and hold together depends on if it’s Silver Snow or Crimson Flower.
This is why Golden Deer is objectively the best house. Fear the Deer! 🦌

You can look at it this way too though. They already have so much history amongst each other that you lowkey feel like an outsider watching them.
