@@JuliDon-u8r Michael Owen was wonderful, I think that part of the selections in preparing the lists after the statistics and merits of each player is a little bit of people's taste and that usually there is always a difference of opinion in each selection, thank you

Thank you, I studied and read many websites before preparing this list, and of course I had little knowledge myself, and I came to this conclusion, of course, people's opinions and tastes have differences and are not the same, and opinions can be positive or negative. Keep it up, anyway, thanks for sharing your point of view

English football - and the the England team - has had a plethora of greats down the years - we invented and codified the game, for heaven's sake !
The list ignores such luminaries as Stan Mortenson, Sir Stanley Matthews, Tom Finney, Billy Wright, Johnny Haynes, Nat Lofthouse, Jimmy Greaves, Alan Ball, Martin Peters, Peter Shilton, Ray Clemence, Kevin Keegan, Trevor Brooking, Stuart Pearce, Francis Lee, Alan Mullery - to name but a few.

Yes, it's true, English football has a very bright history, but dear friend, this list is only for 10 people, no matter how you arrange the list, there are still people who cannot be included in the list, thank you for sharing your opinion.

@@rezakhelghati Not to mention the great Dixie Deans who scored 60 goals in one season when he played for Everton FC in the 1920s. The days of muddy football pitches like glue, thick woollen socks and old-fashioned 'casey' footballs containing the 'bladder' inside and laced up the side.
Those were the days - now long gone, of course. Don't forget, too, that 'soccer' is still a relatively minor sport in countries like the USA - compared to its own brand of 'padded' football played with an oval ball, basketball, ice hockey, baseball and the like. On the other hand, the USA DID beat olde England 1 -0 at the World Cup in Brazil in 1950 - at a place called Belo Horizonte (and I bet you didn't know that !).
I would personally agree with your video clip putting the late
Sir Bobby Charlton in Number One spot as an England player.
A 'National Treasure' and hugely popular in the global game; although if you know your football - his career was almost certainly influenced by that other 'great' of world football - Alfredo di Stefano - who was playing as a deep-lying midfielder- centre forward Number 9 for Argentina and, in particular, Real Madrid in the 1950s - long before the role was well-known as of today; although the latter was also probably influenced by Nandor Hidekguti of the great Hungarian team of the early 1950s. Interestingly enough, they were the first team to beat England on home soil in 1953 at the old Wembley Stadium (6 - 3). Hidekguti scored a hat-trick of three goals that day - probably because the England defence didn't know how to mark him. Nowadays, in 2024, such players are known as 'false' 9's - which really just shows that there is often really new and innovative in sport - and probably life in general. It just really re-invents
      itself in different ways.

@@rezakhelghati Kevin Keegan have two ballon d'ors Owen and Matthews each have one and Matthews is better than average ballon d'or winner(Owen maybe on the weak side but sitll a winner). Gerrard? Beckham? How could they be compared with ballon d'or winners?

If Gerrard or Beckham was a Italian or German, they would be out of like top 50.

Hurst had a limited career for England outside of the WCF Hattrick. Jimmy Greaves should be among the top 3.
