Thanks… I think you would really like it… plenty of rock treasures 😊, shallow and clear. It tends to get a little crowded in the summer. There’s a livery in Glen Arbor… if you have your own Kayak, they do provide shuttle service for about $12 I think… FYI: 20 minutes south of there are two rustic campgrounds that usually always have openings… Platte River State Forest Campground and Veterans Park… OK… hope you guys have a wonderful Sunday , Jim ✌️
What a pleasant way to spend a day paddling along those calm crystal clear waters and glad that your shoulder has healed. I was a tad concerned that you might fall through that earthen/forest structure @ 5:45, glad that ya didn't. I had to take a double take on the price of that sandwich, the cost of living sure has risen substantially in the USA! Here in Japan a good sandwich is about half of that. Our friends and family have been warning us to prepare for (price shock) when we return to Canada later this year after a 9 year absence.
Thanks... Food is just so pricey now... Great catch on the price of that sandwich, Lol 🤣... A bag of groceries that used to cost us $40 or $50 is now $100... That's super cool that you're going to make it back to Canada... An exciting reunion for sure... I sure hope you're able to keep posting during your trip... That river is awesome! In the right light I have seen salmon that looked like they were suspended in air because the water was so clear. Thanks for sharing the float!
Thanks Jon... Yeah, that's cool... it sure is a fun Little River... Most of the fish were out by the time I floated.... I did pass about three or four steelhead... Did you see that they're removing the culverts and replacing them with a free span band bridge... I think it's scheduled for later this year. Happy Thursday buddy... ✌️

It's like Harbor Springs Tunnel of Trees, but for the kayak! What a fun paddle in such a cool area. Way to take a float, hope the shoulder keeps on healing!

Thanks Craig... That little river originates from a small lake that is spring fed... It was still holding a few Steelhead from Lake Michigan (which was a nice bonus). Man did it feel great to be back in a kayak... I hope you make it out this year... Happy Sunday ✌️

Beautiful, calm river! How deep is it? 2-3 feet? Sure was cool to see under the water and spot a fish! Hopefully you only had that one tree to go around, that was a biggie. We floated a couple rivers like that in Wisconsin years ago… we went on a tour with lots of kids, we had a double kayak / canoe and we kept spinning around and going backwards, it was hilarious, and fun. Nice spot for lunch. Good to see you’re recovering and getting back out on the water!! 👍👍☀☀☀ - Jen

I can just picture you guys spinning around in that double kayak, Lol 🤣🤣.
