Since filming this, I decided I wanted to do more than listen to these artists' music, I wanted to learn their stories. In researching more about Amos, I found that he describes himself as mixed heritage, not black. I wanted to clarify to let him speak for himself and not put my own label on him. I'm embarrassed that I didn't do this research earlier and honestly almost didn't post this video because of it, but I wanted this to be a learning experience. By taking this down it looses its value of reminding us all that we WILL mess up, but the more educated we are, the more we listen, the more we are able to help. Clearly I have a lot of work to do still. Hopefully you understand that I was TRYING, although clearly not hard enough. This was meant to be a tribute to a talented artist so I hope it can remain as that!
