Thanks! Love the research you share! Especially the plummers chain.

A great videao! thank you. Can you please recommend what kind of wire I could to fuse entirely in the glass? I need something malleable but also not to thin. Are the high temperature wires easy to bend?

High fire wire is the best but you can also use copper wire or brass wire. All wire can crack the glass if it’s too thick or there’s too much.

I've found that you have to be careful buying foil, especially for gold and silver. It's often advertised as pure gold/silver, when in fact it could be a very thin layer on a much thicker base layer of copper foil. Clue is usually in the price and how much you get, but buying from glass specialists is probably you best best for getting the right stuff. I'm experimenting with edible gold leaf at the moment, it's about 0.3 microns thick or about 1/10th thickness of the silver foil. Looks nice but really difficult to use, really delicate.

Can you use thin aluminium foil between a colored glass and transparent?

Rbritog Britgon you could give it a try but I don’t know how aluminum will do at the high temperatures.

Thank You. I'm going to try maybe is going to turn just a dark spot......once I found that someone used alumiinium from soda .cans .,but is not too easy to cut a small shapes.

Malu Nicolette for these small pieces I used 500*F per hr to 1460*F hold for 10 min & off.

I've found that some people have their computer sound set to surround & that can cause difficulty hearing some videos filmed in mono. Go into your audio control panel, speaker configuration & change it from 7.1 to 2/2.1 I hope this helps!

do you fire the copper sheet that has the glue on back. Black Back Copper Foil Sheet is what I bought. Can I cut my design and sandwich it between 2 clear circles of glass. There's paper and glue that is black back. Should I take off the brown paper before firing? This video is so good and I found out how to use the copper foil my friend gave me because he stopped stained glass.

barbara leavitt for the foil sheets it can be difficult to fuse them between glass. The thickness can cause bubbles. And the sheets with glue on the back are sure to cause bubbles. If you must use those I suggest putting the design on the top of the glass. You will get the fuming & discoloration of the copper but no bubbles. If you really want a copper design between the layers I recommend the Hotline copper "foil". It's whisper thin. 😁
