- Justin Jefferson became a college football superstar in 2019 at LSU and he was just drafted to the Minnesota Vikings. I bet most of you didn’t know he was a zero star recruit coming out of high school and his brothers played for LSU as well. Justin was never supposed to be here and in today’s video we will be talking about his story. Enjoy!

He’s a slot receiver on a run-heavy team. I think he’ll be a very solid pro, but I would be shocked if he outperformed everyone in this WR class, which might be the deepest one in the last ten years.
JJ is a beast. JJ and his team made us look like a high school team. He’s going to be great in the NFL. 👏👏👏

I'm not sure how closely you can compare their WR skills. Diggs was so good because of 1) His great hands, winning the great majority of contested catches 2) He would jog and fool DB's into
believing he wasn't going to get the ball and then he would suddenly change to a sprint, leaving the DB a step behind. 3) Diggs also has a QB, Cousins, that throws one of the best deep balls of all QB.

JJ is one of the best contested catch guys you are ever going to see. The concern is him getting off the line when not playing from the slot. I think he will be fine.

@@ScottFisherCFB only one of the three major recruiting sites doesn't have him ranked... and its ESPN, I'm picking 247 (who actually ranks him as a 3*) and Rivals (although 247 is my go to, Rivals *ranks* him as a 2*) over ESPN any day. Needless to say, I know his story. His grind to the top was and currently is insane. His is arguably my favorite player in this year's draft class and I want nothing more than to see him make it even bigger, but he was not a 0 star.
I'm a huge Vikings fan, and I'm sad that they traded Diggs. He and Thielen were amazing together! But lots of people thing Jefferson is going to do well including me, so I hope he does!!
Nice vid, however although i'm sure there are some sources that rated him as a zero star, 247 composite (which you may or may not know is an average of all scores from ESPN, 247, RIVALS and SCOUT) had him as a 3 star. In fact, 247's in house rating had him as the 65th best player in talent rich Louisiana. So, not as crazy of a story as you presented it, but still an incredible rise. I actually drafted JJ in a later round in my fantasy team last season, and picked up his teammates Chase and Marshall off free agency week 2 and 3, which speaks to how under the radar all these LSU WRs were pre 2019.

Scott Fisher, he wasn’t the best on the team. Both Marshall and Chase had better stats the first half of the season until Marshall was injured. Plus Reid back in the 90s had the SEC record for receiving in a season. He good, and has the greatest separation between “stars” and production.
He will go down as top 3 if you base it on stats. Pure talent I'm taking Beckham or Chase.
No but the best story. His teammate Ja’maar Chase should give him the Biletnikoff Award to him if he wins it again next year. The 4 TD’s Jefferson caught against OU made up for it though.
