One of my favorite cozy game ever is GRIS. It is quite old but I don't think I have ever seen you review it or play it. It is outstanding, the playing environment is so beautiful and relaxing and the music are just wow. Basically you play a girl that seems lost and sad, due to that sadness all the colors are taken away from this world and the aim is to move forward, retrieve stars and bring back the colors. You should really give it a try, I am sure you'd love it!
My favorite weepy cosy games: GRIS and Arise for gorgeous visuals, gameplay and music, and Spiritfarer for the fun gameplay and really emotional storyline! Cozy Grove was also a very rewarding experience. Would love more games like this! Thank you for these reviews!
Another cozy game that's being developed right now is Palia. The Dev team are ex Blizzard developers who worked on World of Warcraft. If you like the graphical atmosphere of WoW, then Palia is right up your alley! It's a community based game, with lots of crafting and customizing and the combat is optional. There's a sort of skill specialization; you can become an artisan cook, or carpenter, or hunter or whatever you want, or you can do all the above at the same time. There's farming, cooking, crafting clothing, armor, furniture , etc. Theres lots of personal questlines from NPC's and you can develop personal relationships with those NPC's that give you perks. Its supposed to come to all platforms including switch, it will be free to play with micro transactions for unique in game items (No pay to win!). I dont know when its supposed to come out, but its rumoured for 2023. I'm highly anticipating this game!
Super excited for pretty much all of these games but, most especially Story of Seasons A Wonderful Life with absolutely loving the OG game and the updates to it are awesome! FaeFarm looks so freaking adorable too!! I'm a bit annoyed my Coral Island save file on Deck vanished after an update at some point so have held off restarting but, do love it still. So happy cozy games are becoming more and more commonplace and excited to see what more we might get!
First time I've actually been tempted to play a story of seasons game in a while! It always kinda bugs me in other farming sims when you could have been running your farm for 10 years but everything in the town is exactly the same and no characters have changed at all. Will be weird to actually have a time limit on a farming sims but sounds like it could be really cool
Love love the list. A lesser known cozy game that’s coming end of April to Siwtch/PC is the Stone Age Stardew like Roots of Pacha, which had me sold at baby mammoths and it looks absolutely adorable. It differs from Stardew in the respect that their is no combat, you have to gather seeds, and to learn new ways to live you have to brainstorm ideas with your tribe. ❤ also there are romance options and babies are fully intractable no longer functioning as furniture.

I have loved the Harvest Moon games!! To date, my favorite has been Harvest Moon Tree of Tranquility (and that was also my first HM game). I got the two other HM games that released on the switch, but while they were fun both had elements that I still felt were missing. I think with a lot of them, once you had a kid in many ways it felt like you had completed that story and it was time to make a new game (or collect the items to eventually play as your kid). I’m excited that this time choices and aging makes it feel like there’s always more to do!!!
do you mean Style Savvy? I haven't heard any news of a new game for that series. If you're talking about 'style savvy: fashion famous' thats a fake, it's not real :(
@@marzettik yeah its fake, it was debunked in 2020. It's fan made. The art on the cover was taken from older games which is the first clue somethings off. If you're looking for a fun dress up game in the meantime, I reccomend Shining Nikki.

I was just about to say that 'A Wonderful Life" looks suspicious similar to a Harvest Moon game that I adored on the Game Cube. I played it as a teen, and even my 'non-gamer' mum fell in love with the characters in my first taste of cosy gameplay. Hoping they add enough new features to make it worth a purchase 🤞☘
It's considered a remake of A Wonderful Life from the GC. I also hope they added more features, because honestly I'd rather just replay the original if not.
I really like the Bayonetta games, and I'm still into the idea of them going a different path for this new game. The bayonetta games are very chaotic so it's funny to see that this one seems to go the completely other direction. I also recently played my first atelier game on Playstation now and I quite enjoyed it. I really like when games have things like alechmical systems.
Wonderful Life was a bit tough for me to play. You had to propose to someone by the end of your first year, keep your cow producing milk by making it give birth, people died, animals died, and I never got into it. A few games you mentioned are now on my radar. Thank you for the vid. I really don't have enough money for all of these cozy games, but I want them so bad.😫

I'm really excited about the awl remake bc the story and progression really does make marrying feel so much more rewarding. Really hoping they kept your toddler going on their own routine across yhe Town and being able to basically pick them up and show them to your neighbours lol. Bits & bops is def inspired by rhythm heaven, v cute.
The new moomins game, Melody of Moominvalley, is coming out next year too!! It looks so cute and has amazing music and I'm pretty sure it'll be available on the switch!
Wow, I spent so many hours playing Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful Life (the female version). It is such a blast from the past to see the characters with slightly better graphics. Tbh, I preferred More Friends of Mineral Town on GBA because the farming, fishing, and mining mechanics were easier for me in that top down format, and I always felt like I had enough time in a game day in those games. I never felt like I had enough time to get much done in game time in AWL. But I remember marrying Marlon. I remember the milk drinking contest. I used a cheat to get a bunch of extra money (which helped with the fact that I wasn’t a fan of the farming etc.). I linked my GBA game so that the merchant from AWL would visit Mineral Town. I never quite made it to the end of all of the farm years, but I did make it to my character going gray. Think my kid was a teen? Wow. That’s a long memory dump. Haven’t thought of it in so long.
Yes, I had a wonderful life and another wonderful life for the gc. My absolute favorite harvest moon games! I actually loved the graphics, they gave it such a moody atmosphere.

I've been thinking about getting Bayo 3, but I think I might probably just go for this one! I've also tried to get into Atelier Ryza, but with the marketing and everything I've been feeling very alienated, especially when I played the first one for a bit. It just feels so...fetishy? I liked the characters though, I loved how Ryza was the one looking for adventure in her group. Just wish they toned down the horny a bit. Although that could be said for some other JRPGs as well imho, but oh well.
I’m a cis woman and I can relate to your comment about Ryza being a little fetishy. Try to ignore the marketing & social media if you can bc the games are fantastic and don’t include romance/seggs themes. The humor and storytelling should not be missed (and the gameplay is super addictive).

Out of the ones listed Europe is the one I'm most looking forward to. I'm a sucker for exploration games and it just looks so pretty. ...No idea how it actually plays, but as long as I can afford it I'm getting it! ...Wish I could say same about Ryza 3 though. Only Atelier game I've played is Firis and I AM interested of Ryza 3... But not with the price tag it'll have. Plus I still want to get Sophie and Lydia & Suelle before jumping into other Atelier games and I'm PRAYING those two come back on sale like they were about a year ago, when I bought Firist.
Fwiw, the Ryza games tend to go on sale often, especially the digital versions. If you already like Atelier games you really shouldn’t miss out on Ryza!!
Some that you missed that look absolutely incredible would be Witchbrook (you’re a witch! It’s basically Harry Potter meets Stardew valley, it looks adorable!), Haunted Chocolatier (same dev as Stardew Valley) and Sally (I think this one might come out in 2023 but I’m not sure. It’s really cute tho, it’s a life sim and you play as a little kid on a flying ship and you can bake, farm, take care of animals, explore!)
I absolutely love a good rpg or action adventure or fantasy title like The Witcher or A Plague Tale or God of War, etc. But lately I've become overwhelmed by them and have had to seriously restrict my playing significantly. Cozy games have seriously been a blessing to this gamer.
Who grew up with Harvest Moon: A wonderful life on GameCube ❤ I also played harvest moon, another wonderful life. ❤ this was my moms favorite game and mine. We were both crying at the end. It was so impactful and left such an impression on me.

I'm a backer for Island Skies and wanted to confirm that, unfortunately, it doesn't look like it's coming next year (unless you backed/paid for alpha access on PC). I was hoping the Switch version would be out sometime in '23 but their current update says' 24 is more likely 😩 I'm so excited about it!
My first game, and the one that really got me into gaming, was the original female version of this game. (This was also the first game in 2002/2003/2004 where Marvelous realized females play so they made 2 games, A Wonderful Life & Another Wonderful Life) I still play Another Wonderful Life on my GameCube. I am SOOO excited for this remake on modern consoles!
What they need to do is connect these stories of season games together kind of like traveling to another state or town with different rules and things to do. Or expand on the current one!
I’m the most excited for the new story of seasons game! I’ve been playing and enjoying pioneers of olivetown and I like it but it’s definitely missing something. My thing is tho is what happens once the villagers all get old and pass on. Do they have kids that continue on. Sooo many questions lol
Yeah even the music and sound effects are identical to the GC versions lol. I didn't see much change from the OGs in the trailer, but still, that game has needed a remake for 10 years
You should try playing "Little Witch in the Woods." The full version of the game is coming out in 2023! It was so adorable and fun to play. I couldn't put it down.

Very excited for My Time at Sandrock to get out of EA - I'm currently almost finished the story of My Time at Portia and it's my favourite farming/life sim I've ever played!
So A Wonderful Life on Game Cube in 2004 and had a version where you could be a girl, it's called Another Wonderful Life released in 2005. That's the same character design as the female your seeing in the reboot for 2023. It was one of my favorite games growing up! They all involve the same characters, same town, and same forest spirits but your a girl marrying the men of the town. I would say they are more companion pieces rather then a OG and a Re-release or something. It's similar to the original pokemom games where you got similar stories but detailed information depending on which game you choose along with a different legendaries.
I love action games like God Of War but the new ones make it hard for someone with slow reaction times to enjoy so at least I have my cozy games to fall back on

I am SO excited for the A Wonderful Life remake. I spent so many hours in it as a kid. The trailer caught me by surprise and had me in like tears.

I absolutely love a good rpg or action adventure or fantasy title like The Witcher or A Plague Tale or God of War, etc. But lately I've become overwhelmed by them and have had to seriously restrict my playing significantly. Cozy games have seriously been a blessing to this gamer.

There’s currently no release date, and looks like early access won’t be until 2024, let alone the switch release date sadly
I'm a backer for Island Skies and wanted to confirm that, unfortunately, it doesn't look like it's coming next year (unless you backed/paid for alpha access on PC). I was hoping the Switch version would be out sometime in '23 but their current update says' 24 is more likely 😩 I'm so excited about it!

I love the fact cozy games have some great story with them.
My first game, and the one that really got me into gaming, was the original female version of this game. (This was also the first game in 2002/2003/2004 where Marvelous realized females play so they made 2 games, A Wonderful Life & Another Wonderful Life)
I still play Another Wonderful Life on my GameCube. I am SOOO excited for this remake on modern consoles!
What they need to do is connect these stories of season games together kind of like traveling to another state or town with different rules and things to do. Or expand on the current one!

I’m the most excited for the new story of seasons game! I’ve been playing and enjoying pioneers of olivetown and I like it but it’s definitely missing something. My thing is tho is what happens once the villagers all get old and pass on. Do they have kids that continue on. Sooo many questions lol

Yeah even the music and sound effects are identical to the GC versions lol. I didn't see much change from the OGs in the trailer, but still, that game has needed a remake for 10 years

If you like Bits & Bops, I highly recommend the Rhythm Paradise series. There is 1 ds, 1 3ds and 1 Wii game and they're all very good!

Very excited for My Time at Sandrock to get out of EA - I'm currently almost finished the story of My Time at Portia and it's my favourite farming/life sim I've ever played!
Loddlenaught seems exactly like Island Saver! It came out in 2020 and is soo fun and cute. :)
So A Wonderful Life on Game Cube in 2004 and had a version where you could be a girl, it's called Another Wonderful Life released in 2005. That's the same character design as the female your seeing in the reboot for 2023. It was one of my favorite games growing up! They all involve the same characters, same town, and same forest spirits but your a girl marrying the men of the town. I would say they are more companion pieces rather then a OG and a Re-release or something. It's similar to the original pokemom games where you got similar stories but detailed information depending on which game you choose along with a different legendaries.
Another cozy game coming out that is early release right now is Len’s Island.

I love action games like God Of War but the new ones make it hard for someone with slow reaction times to enjoy so at least I have my cozy games to fall back on
