I remember when cruising that lake back in 1970 that you could see the big cats swimming on the bottom at 20’ deep it was so clear.
Lake Havasu has some HUGE sunfish.

The state record flathead is 67 lbs. I've caught a 30 lb. At 11 am about a mile away from where you were fishing from shore on bluegill

Brother, you need to bring you some dry dog food and throw it in some women's pantihose with a rock and drop a couple in the cove your camping in. My dad used to take me to the crazyhorse campground by the London bridge when I was a kid and fish Havasu. Copper canyon, sand bar, river, that place is massive. Great video

@TheFishinMagician20 brings ALL the boys to the yard! Catfish love it! I've done it in lake mead, Havasu, pleasant, horseshoe, and Roosevelt. My dad was stationed at Luke AFB in Goodyear az when I was a youngin in the 80s 😬and we used to go camp on the boat (crazyhorse campgrounds has a boat ramp) and that was a trick his dad taught him. My pb flathead was landed in a cove that we baited. Best thing is it's legal 🤷♂️

They’re everywhere there. Pretty much guaranteed at least one. Fish the cove mouths and vary your bait depths
I am confused about the flatty float rig. How does that float not just infinitely slide up the line? It looks as if it’s free moving on there, I’m trying to make sense of it. Might be missing something (clearly) lol. Sweet video

Just a FYI minnows r not legal on havasu
Incorrect. Minnows are permitted on all waters in La Paz, and Mojave county. Only areas you can’t are upstream of horseshoe in the verde river, and upstream the salt river above Roosevelt diversion dam. And the virgin river
