The reason it fell apart yesterday is blindingly obvious to me - She was in a position far above her level of competence.
She still must answer the questions, her resignation does not exclude or excuse her from the investigation...and to be charged with lying under oath and put in jail for her actions.

She turned up with no answers and expected to get away with it, because she's an entitled DEI hire. This is how her entire career has been, not held to account for anything while getting undeserved positions and promotions.. She didn't think this appearance in front of congress would be any different to the easy street she'd grown all too accustomed to. .
They'll just go ahead and hire another one, because the first one worked out so well. Here's a crazy idea: Hire the best person for the job, regardless of their gender or race. Just sayin.
