    at last, I can draw hypothetical reactions on paper instead of failing hypothetical reactions in reality... thank you sir 🙏🏻... me encantó...

    This is so helpful! Thanks a lot for doing this series and please keep posting new videos 🙏
    How about discussing shortcuts for quick molecule drawing in the next episode?

    You can probably align center to center the box, I don't know if there is another way

    I am someone who always exports pngs of reactions rather than pasting them straight into word, on Mac.
    But, to my knowledge, while you can’t double-click on pasted chemdraw drawings on word for Mac to edit them, you can still always select the drawing, copy it and paste it back into chemdraw and edit it that way and then recopy and repaste it into word.

      F pngs. export as svg. Doesn't get crippled when u change the size of the figure :)

    • @moropikkuu
      @moropikkuu 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mairisberzins8677 I specifically use pngs because I DONT want the sizes to change. I want the font size to be the same as the text that surrounds the image.

      @@moropikkuu Ah, fair point. I guess this method ensures consistency throughout the paper.

    • @moropikkuu
      @moropikkuu 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mairisberzins8677 yes, especially since I frequently use both latex and word. It removes ambiguity and makes me doubt the sizes of my graphics less. But it‘s definitely more of a hassle than just copying and pasting.

    Anothe great hotkey is using 0 instead of 1 for single bonds to go opposite of the green dot

    Where would be the right place to start lookimg for some of those premade templates?

      I would try asking people in the Discord - I found them on some random site, but recently when I was looking around I was having trouble finding them again

    Finally I could draw these reactions instead of edit photos from the Internet

    Actually you can also edit the pasted chemdraw reactions in word also with a mac. But there ,you just have to copy and paste it back to chemdraw.

    The program checking the sanity of bonds and hilighting errors on the fly is cool, I also really like that idea of "syntax colorizing" reactions and group movement. Is there anything in common use that does reaction simulation on the desktop scale? I know they do this sort of thing with supercomputers and clusters and FORTRAN (maybe C++ these days...) but I've never seen anything like LTSpice for chemistry.

      You would need to ask people in the discord - I have no idea

    You can edit on a Mac. Just copy from word n paste in CD and edit. Can also copy from CD to word no problem.

    Do you use latex? Would you be interested in cover latex for academic use or can you recommend videos for self-teaching?

    • @ThatChemistOld
      @ThatChemistOld  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would be one of the worst people to give tutorials for latex - I have used it but I suck really bad at it

      @@ThatChemistOld Thanks for being honest! :))
      Another question: Could you cover organic chemistry in a biological context? Since I am a student of biology, I would be really interested in some reactions, pathways etc. from a more chemical approach.
      Some professors are not very talented (or just not interested) in teaching the chemistry behind biology…
