You made it to Mankayan - congratulations! Thanks for taking my advise to get to the town. My family lived in Mankayan for many years. I am happy to see that the road is now cemented - huge improvement! The time we were there, the road was not like that, it's made out of gravel - not easy to navigate. You did a good job! By the way, there is no hotel in the town, the best thing you can do is to go to the municipal hall and ask the authority if they can recommend a place for you to spend the night. Being a stranger, best people to get information how to get around is the police. I don't know where you're heading but if you're planning to go to Ilocos region, go via Cervantes or if you're trip is heading towards Cordillera, go via Bauko, to Sagada, to Bontoc "Bontoc" is the Capital of the Mountain Province at one time, continue going to Kalinga, Apayao and then connect to Ilocos region. There are two Ilocos' Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte, if you're heading towards Manila go by Ilocos Sur to get you to the highway. I hope my explanation will help you navigate where ever you going.

I don't want to leave Mankayan. but my time is running so fast. now am heading to Atok. then I will get back to Europe. next year I will get back to the places where you were mentioned. I am excited to go to these places and spend more time there. I really appreciate your comment and your explanations. very important and encouraging to me. yes, there are a lot of developments in mankayan and in Benguet. Roads are cemented and people are living peacefully.
