No there aren't. There are very very few good chiptune artists. Most of them just use the genre as an excuse to make extremely lazy, minimalistic "music" modeled after old video games instead of actually trying to make something impressive that holds up in the modern age. The only other artist I can think of who's made a lot of really impressive chiptune like this is Chipzel. There are more I can't name off the top of my head of course but the point is there's really not many chiptune artists who actually deserve praise. Not to seem bitchy, I just think people should know what they're getting into if they decide to look into this genre, and that is: a lot of garbage to wade through before having any chance of finding the gems.
@XAVIER MORALES Practically every chiptune "artist" I've ever seen with some notable exceptions being Danimal Cannon, Zef, and Chipzel (not an exhaustive list, just a generalization). I can't tell you the many names who were disappointing, because why would I remember names of artists who did nothing to impress me? And for the record, I'm not just saying they're "bad." I'm saying the majority of chiptune artists, because they're working with the same sounds as old videogames, try to mimic the weak and basic structure of most old videogame music. The "chiptune" that results from that is pretty bare-bones and sounds less like someone was trying to make their own standout music and more like they ripped some low-quality basic track from some gameboy game. Chiptune like this video where you can hear the artist's heart and soul poured into it and it sounds like more than just some backing track in an old game? That's rare.
i like how its not project arrhythmia and just shapes and beats who fight eachother, its their fanbase sometimes both games are fine with eachother's existence, and project arrhythmia actually started development first, albeit released later(still in development)
The first part sounds like the start of a boss fight or just "The end of your journey is here" which fits because this is the final song in the album (0 jsab talks were included)
the first sign of this being an amazing song is because the start has a beat on the right side of a headphones and another one on the left side vice versa
I know someone else said it, but I'm gonna say it again for them because this is important knowledge and I don't see it in the top comments. Album name: Parallel Processing Cover art: Two Gameboys side by side The music in the album: Made with two Gameboys
Holy shit this song has got to be the best off the album yet doesn't seem to be nearly as popular. Insane.
This music is called chiptune and there are a lot of artists awesome as Danimal Cannon. Keep this genre up!

@XAVIER MORALES Chipzel.
@@GigaLigma look into undertale fan music. It makes good use of chiptune in various ways.
@@stormy9284 I'm aware of the music, but the community itself pretty much kills it for me.
When you finally realize the album art is of a gameboy...
Terrible Idea omg I just noticed!
I gotta hand it to you, without the guidance of you I would've remained uninformed. You have done the world good. Thank you.
I mean, they literally made this album with 2 gameboys...
Yeah to think about making an entire album with nothing but two modded game boys is crazy
It vaguely looks like a Sefirot (Kabbalah) to me though...

This feels like a digital chop builder and I love it.

Another banger from Danimal Cannon and Zef, I'd love to see this as a level in JSAB.

Mirror level idea! Everything that appears on one side of the screen is invisible on the other side!!!
Reminds me of the Split Screen phase of Aleph-0 in Project Arrhythmia.

This song is way too underrated.

Curious about your use of a variation of the Sephiroth Tree of Life. What's the purpose behind it?
The beginning sounds like a song from shovel knight.
and it probably is Monster Hunter
Guess that's why Linkyop based their level on this song by the Just Shovels & Knights DLC for Just Shapes & Beats.
It actually reminds me of Ace Attorney
This would be great boss fight music
Technically it is in Project Arrhythmia
I love 5:40
the start of this song sounds like a song from ninja gaiden (i dont remember the song)
danimal cannon your songs are so good keep making them ^-^
