- Hey Guys, I hope you all are doing great and found today's video Informative. So I've made this video as I was getting requests from my viewers asking for the Indian grocery and prices I hope it will benefit to them and other people to get some information if they want to travel to Poland or if they are thinking of moving to Poland.
COST OF FOOD:
Cost of food in Poland increased 19.30 percent in September of 2022 over the same month in the previous year.
How is inflation affecting groceries?
The food-at-home index, a measure of price changes at the grocery store, notched the largest 12-month increase since 1979. Cereals and baked goods cost 15% more than they did last year. Milk and dairy products are 14.9% higher, and fruits and vegetables are up 9.3% over the year.
Food in Poland is fairly affordable, especially compared to countries like the UK or France. Compared to these countries, food prices in Poland are on average around 50% lower. Prices of some products may surprise as cheese for example is really expensive in comparison to meat which price is among the lowest in the whole European Union.
In comparison to other European countries Poland is a relatively affordable place to live and study. Prices depend greatly on the city. Poland can offer an exciting opportunity for expats after a change of pace from British life. Rich culture, stunning food, scenic countryside and classic cities make Poland a great location to emigrate to while a cheaper cost of living offer an added advantage over Western Europe.

kminek is not jeera. Kminek rzymski is jeera. Kminek is another type of jeera and has a minty flavour but it is not saunf for sure. Also these spices are used in Polish cooking so these were in the Polish market earlier as well. Basmati rice in normal Polish stores are fine for Indians. You can get atta also for roti. I get it from Carrefour and it it much better than the one in Indian store.

Yes we get both
Chicken (kurczak) is a staple, you can buy it pretty much everywhere. Mutton (baranina/jagnięcina) is available but less common - might take some searching to find.
Can you please tell us if there is any wheat flour which is like Indian one and can d used for chapati..
Hi Ayushmaan, well in Polish store we don’t get the same aata which we use for making chapati. We get one however it is very fine like maida.

Try looking for mąka pszenna razowa (can also be "pełnoziarnista" - both mean a whole-grain flour) grubomielona (coarse-milled), that migth be closer to what you're looking for
