Things are about to heat up! - and maybe get a little salty. Don't worry, I've learned a TON since recording these, and I think you'll start to see some really awesome things coming soon. Stay tuned, and thanks for watching! PATREON and MEMBERS here on TH-cam have access up to Episode 8 RIGHT NOW. Check your early access channel. I'll keep them flowing into there as best as I can too, so you don't have to wait too long for more early.
This is a big late and you might already know this, but you can hotkey distract, capture, and terminate. Default is X,C,V respectively. So you can just, click investigator, press X, click, X. Makes it much faster. Though, I'm not saying it's a perfect alternative for box select but, it's something.
um i noticed something ... even if no one is at the table, the scam tourists tables make income ... i think the tourists and agents resolve thing is when they are on the floor the tables add to the floor not just when the agents or the tourists go to them ...
One can use the casino rails & ropes to help channel foot traffic; basically force the agents to walk right by all the bars/baccarat etc. For that matter, the casino is constructible just like the rest of the base; can put in walls, redesignate patches of it to other uses (e.g., a few tiles of Corridor near a wall to put up a security camera). I went a little overboard and made my whole casino a big rat-maze...took the agents forever just to even walk to the lair entrance. The drawback, however, is that it also takes forever for the valets to walk from the lair out to their workstations, so after a while I simplified it a bit. Final thought; the valets' morale drops while they're working a table. The AC units and drinking fountains help slow down that drain....not all of the "decor" items are purely cosmetic. Similar cases with a few other decor items in other rooms.
It never even occurred to me that I didn't need the vault until later in the game. My first game it was one of the first rooms I made! lol Thanks for the tip, it's very helpful.
In the original, the minion doing the interrogation would turn into a scientist. And then that minion had to train other minions. And if you lost all your scientists you had to kidnap a new one.
Yea that was the most annoying part cause if u had military agents outside ur base already shooting minions the stupid or smart minions didn’t matter would just run out of the base and get mowed down
Thank you for the review, your review was very in-depth, funny, full of info, help and advice this helped me to understand the game much better, it also helped me to make my mind up on buying the game, I will have many hours of fun with it, I enjoy the look of Evil 2 and it is very different to other base building games I play, with more to do and focus on with a lot of fun and enjoyment with lots of thinking of what to do next, just my kind of game, thank you for the review and sharing your experience and knowledge I will watch your full episodes from 1 - 71 to fully understand the game, how it works and how to play it thank you :)
30:35. Research was one of my favorite things in Evil Genius. I sometimes built lots of things just so my scientists could research even more things. 38:50. In the original game, they dance to a Michael Jackson song. 49:15. I am curious if power generators cause suspicion in this game like it did in the original. In the original I could understand why, but in this game it could be easy enough to explain away as powering your casino to the Forces of Justice. So it should not generate suspicion to the investigators. 51:12. I like that so much more than than the first game were they could not fight. They were so helpless in the original it was annoying. 52:20. Evil Genius had a time clock that you could shut down that room when not in use, I wonder if they had a similar thing in this game.
hello, used to play EG1 a lot back in the day, and i distinctively remember holding shift while issuing an order on the group leader applied to all members of the group, if shift doesn't work, check your key bindings. Oh, one more thing, I used to build empty rooms with doors at the end, agent AI was programmed to investigate if there was a door at the back of the room, corridor, so if you create a snake like tunnel with plenty of doors, the agents would go from door to door trying to open it and waste time. On the same subject of doors, do not build them where your minions would go, as they open automatically for minions so the agents would just follow them. And on the topic of traps, ideally you wouldn't want traps on the same path your minions would take, since there is the possibility for the trap to be triggered by your own minion. Anyway, this used to apply to the first EG. Hope some will help. Keep doing your best. Best wishes.
I dont know if its me but you sound almost like Christopher odd. Also nice game play playing the game on my xbox as ivan might give emma a try after beating it
Finally, for some reason the comment section wasn't available on the last video, it was completely invisible to me so I couldn't put anything in there... also Long Live Evil!
2 things I particularly miss from EG1: Holding CTRL to bulk tag groups of agents. Being able to assign a number key to a location view, so you could at any time hit the number & have the camera automatically go to the location & angle you selected. But the build process is better in EG2!
TH-cam is devious, making me to want to buy EG2. But I outsmarted the algorithm! I bought EG2 after watching the first vid it "recommended" me so all further vids were unnecessary! I'm clever!
Thank god they changed it so the tables auto reduce the skill or resolve when an agent sits at it but i don't know if they still do when you toggle the scam tourists on them.
You don't make a whole lot with that anyway though. It's best to just have them all on agents. You'll get like $15 from a tourist that plays at a table a single time. Each region on the network is already giving you $20 every 5 seconds. :)
It sounds like you're asking for a lot of macro and automated options. Which would turn the game into much more of an idle sim. Think about it. If you incorporated your ideas, then all/groups of the tables designate their own modes and adjust whenever they detect agents. Basically, the entire casino side of the game runs itself with little player interaction. Whereas, right now, you have to strategize location and mode of the tables to produce the best results of either making money or distracting agents.
The casino side already runs itself. There’s marginally no income at all from it - it’s sole purpose should be lowering agent skill anyways.- I’m asking for MORE base micro, not less. I’m asking for LESS map micro.
is there an easy way to see how many of each type of minion you have? i wonder if the ratio of minions (at the base):valets was also part of why it took some time to get training to kick off
There is a minion manager, but the UI isn't all that great. You'll see it utilized in later videos. There are certainly a lot of Quality of Life changes that can be added and amended to this game.
The overview page in Stats also shows a pie-chart of your minion numbers and percentages. It's just top level; for example it doesn't differentiate btwn Scientists and Techs (both green science), but it'll break out the four major categories.
Do traps raise suspicion level of agents? Because it's kind of weird if their colleague is suddenly punched into unconsciousness by a glove emerging from the wall and they just shrug it of as something normal and not at all suspicious.
@@CharliePryor In the early years of English colonisation of North America, English driving customs were followed and the colonies drove on the left. After gaining independence from England, however, they were anxious to cast off all remaining links with their British colonial past and gradually changed to right-hand driving. I imagine this sentiment was followed in many different ways.
Did he forget to kill the investigator for the side quest? Like what was he doing why was he waiting for them to enter the lab and then hesitating to capture them like why?

Every time you are prompted to build more power, StarCraft pops into my head “you must construct additional pylons.”
Spawn more overlords :D
Additional Supply Depots Required

For ppl who dont understand, these comanders have fixed supply!
Red Ivan and Arcturus are the same character change my mind
this was really fun to watch.i really like the way you explain the game and what is is you are doing and your thought process.
Thank you.

building a staff room for your minions? HA! Ivan just ground pounds the nearest employee to inspire his minions!
This is nice, multiple videos on the same day. Good timing too since it is too rainy to spend time outdoors
Have fun! Are you playing any games to pass the time? :)

Evil Genius 1 had Capacitors for storing Power, but really all it was good for was buying time to put in more generators.
Distract in the casino with railings and decor as well!!

They do not. It's either/or. Scam tourists will simply get you money for each tourist that plays at that table.

Excuse me are you ChristopherOdd because your voice sounds very much the same?
It is unfortunate that it seems all the cut scenes they're replaced the amusing radio broadcasts with all appear to recycle the same dialogue.
Do traps raise suspicion level of agents? Because it's kind of weird if their colleague is suddenly punched into unconsciousness by a glove emerging from the wall and they just shrug it of as something normal and not at all suspicious.
From what I can see, they do not. :)
Agent X seems to love taking pictures of my freeze ray trap, but then again, he likes to manufacture his own evidence.
You can't capture when your busy talking then run off to check something. Stay the dang course.
Nah.
the desk is off center and it’s killing me
you have 6 broadcasts and only using 4. why build more?
Just an fyi the Roulette Table in Game seems to be a European Table because it has just Single Zero and no Double Zero like the American tables. xD
I assume then that means they stand on the opposite side of the table too? - Man.. why does the USA have to do everything weird.
