So glad I found your video. The Faire doesn't seem to have lost it's magick one bit. I worked at the Devore location as part of the Gaming Glee and Rounders games in 1590 and 1591. I like the new location. I often recall the Faire and all the wonderful memories. Gramercy for posting. Rennies for Life! Huzzah!
Thank you for stopping by. Other faire videos in my collection somewhere. 3 or 4 different fairs, multiple years. Hopefully they come back this season. Up north. They are to be.
I remember it was there that gave birth to the walking tree people and they had the beast guy who painted with colored sand in the dirt. brilliant man he was. that guy, was jack, from the jack in the box commercials.
PHARRAOH Awesome I never knew that about the tree People I use to go watch them almost everyday there!! I Remember The Day Tyrah Banks Came into my Shop😍😍😍 !!!!
that was a great site. especially when the faire rapped around the lake, but then they sort of lost the lake. we used to go ...from 1989 to 2002. Have footage from back then on my youtube site. and my picture is me at the faire back then.
At 29:17 I believe that is my friend I grew up with Mike in the green vest. Good to see him doing his gig cuz I know he loves it. Great times growing up with him. Thats why vids like this are cool Allen. Brought me a smile.
That was Agoura, not Calabasas. If you are still at that end of the world and Irwindale is a trek, you should strongly consider Notthingham Festival, a small faire in Simi Valley for two weekends in November. Like the Agoura faire, it is nonprofit and at least _tries_ to present history with the entertainment.
Hey Cool costume Allen almost didn't recognize you,was wondering if you had dressed up 👍🏻I was there last Saturday, threw a lil Steam Punk together, been attending over 17 years now,my older sister took me once and I was hooked, any reason to dress up I'm there.👍🏻👧🏻I'm still learning how to edit, but I'll have a video up to,not many people there when I visited ,looked like a lot more showed when you were there, all your fans hehe👍🏻
That renaissance fair always looks great Alan, I'm sure its a fun day out for everyone. The only thing missing this time was the hot violinist. Do you remember her from your video a few years back?
I've seen one or two of her video's before on you tube, but I couldn't remember the bands actual name as it was a long time ago, so thanks for that. Atb Glenn
yes, when a great pestilence swept over the land, bringing hardship and death. Ah, to hold a pint to high and partake in the name of fun, how I miss those times! In the name of all that is right and holy, virus, protesters, cry babies, mask wearing fools, ALL be gone! Let the music and old ways reign once again upon the land, in the name of Allah. Huzzah!
This is Irwindale, near Los Angeles. In the 1970s, the original Faire (founded 1963) took place at the Paramount Ranch in Agoura, on the western end of Los Angeles County (that site is now parkland). They are the 'same' Faire, as the original Faire was bought out by commercial interests ca. 1990, and the current owners still call it the "Original Renaissance Pleasure Faire". It is a very different show now, of course, but I recognized at least five of the people caught on camera in this video as Agoura Faire performers from back in the day.
Long video, and 95 percent is people walking around the grounds. It would have been nice to see more of the entertainment in s video of this lenght you could have 2 or 3 minutes of 4'or 5 different acts.
life, is pretending. I see ren fair as an escape. I try not to hate anything or anyone. negative energy is wearing on us. waste of time. its one thing not to like but its work to hate. work I have no interest in taking part of.
Not trying to knock it if it is your thing Alan. Just pointing out I have been to the Ren Fair more than once and I would have rather gone to the dentist... and I hate going to the dentist!
