    I built wizards a few weeks ago to play at my lgs. My list differs a bit, but it helps the burn matchup by being more aggressive. Instead of expressive iteration, im running dreadhorde arcanist and 2 copies of inti. You get to retain a level of card draw/advantage but also get sideways fast enough to burn them out. Im 8-0 in matches, with only one game lost (G1 to burn).

      Share the list in private DMs somewhere? I’ve always wanted to whip out a functional wizards deck in modern!

    1:00:25 Would it be better here to bounce snapcaster and flash back flame to kill sheoldred and draw 2? Surprised that line wasn't considered after mentioning Otawara on Snapcaster as an option earlier.

    In my current WIzard list, I'm more on an aggressive slant (Soul-Scars in the 1 drop slot as well as a set of Lava Spikes in the side). Something about using Snapcaster just seems so right in the current format.

    Hey Reid! long time fan here. What are ur thoughts on unholy heat and dress down main? Dress down helps with delirium and If you cast it EOT sleep-cursed faerie would enter without the stun counters :0

      How are you turning on delirium?

      @@Ghandifloss Now i'm thinking: go full DRC + baubles. Would take out: 1 Snappy, 3-4 lands, 1 FON, 1 Flame of Anor, 1 Wizard's lightning. The 2 remaining ones should be unholy heats. Something similar and less restricive could be accomplished with a couple of ledger shredders. They work well with snappys. How would you do it?

    Love wizards, but I don't think this is the right deck for iteration. Not only are spells like snap, flame and tishana too clunky, you also don't really need the card advantage when you have got snapcaster flame of anor already, in my opinion.

    • @argsgsgsgnngndg9894
      @argsgsgsgnngndg9894 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Iteration is literally the best card advantage, the last card you wanna cut

      @@argsgsgsgnngndg9894 Not really on wizards deck, the goal of the deck is about to play a cheap thread and then never tap out holding instant speed interaction with counters snaps tishanas and flames. Iteration is a busted card, but I dont think that is the card u want in this archetype

      @@p4l3rm0alonsomartinez3iteration is the cheap 2 for 1 that you need especially if your wizards keep getting removed

    It seems really weird to me for this deck to run 2x Chalice in the sideboard.
    But i haven't played Modern in some years.
    Someone explain what they are for?
    I mean this deck rund a ton of 1 and 2 mana spells.
    Seems counter intuitive to me that there isn't a better card for the sideboard slots than 2 copies of Chalice.
    Just struck me as an oddity.

    • @camosian
      @camosian 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      You play chalice on 0 in the cascade matchups (Rhinos, living end)

    • @JoySitler
      @JoySitler 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Crashing Footfalls and Living end cascade builds are very popular so the chalice is cast for zero in those matchups.

    • @Stokkeland23
      @Stokkeland23 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@JoySitler Well, my guess is that's a matchup you're either losing or winning without those 2 chalices.
      Doubt the 2 chalices turn the tide into a winning matchup if it's already a losing one.
      But thanks for explaining.
      I kind of figured it had to be some 0 cost spell as soon as i had pressed enter.
      Still seems like a waste of 2 sideboard cards if thaf's the only matchup where it's useful.
