- Some recharge time together. The rain has come back again. There’s still lots of things happening throughout the day, the usual (exercise, feeding, cleaning, training, bathing), but on weekends we also squeeze in as many family moments together. Here’s a few of those moments. Elle has been waiting a little while for a certain movie to come out, Sonic the Hedgehog 2. We get word from Nanny it’s out, Elle can’t wait. But the wifi internet isn’t working, living in the country this happens quite a bit, so we all sit around eating popcorn without the movie. It was just as good if not better. Will try for the movie again tonight.
When there’s no internet or reception, Aunty Sam does drive to a nearby spot down the road beside some cows under a tower to post. 🤣 Full coverage! Amazing and the company is pretty good too 🥰
P.S Freddo loves these quiet more intimate family moments just as much as he does the big ball time. He loves even more that he gets to enjoy both in his life.
Former troubled boy Freddo strolling up and nonchalantly giving former troubled girl Shadow a quick ear smooch,which she acknowledges with a brief glance. So lovely.

@@WillyHope I think it's currently 12 and counting - Bailey and Maggie are part of the home pack but still as foster dogs : Tilly, Joey, Cutie Pie, Freddo, Banjo, Matilda and Rosie, Lily, Miss Violet Danger and Princess Scarlet/Red, and as of yesterday, Shadow and Barney.
Freddo couldn't be more loved, or more loveable. Thank you for saving him. Love from Ottawa.
At the dinner table I realized the Evans Pack is twice the size it was 2 years ago. But more than double the love is also what I see. ❤❤❤
It would be of no surprise if the Evans pac out numbered the daycare pac some day.

Definitely! When life is sad or frustrating here, a trip to the Farm always lifts my mood. Dogs having more fun than anywhere, Luke smiling, Sam laughing, both of you spending really good time with your children. It’s learning and enrichment and a safe home for everyone.

Thank you Aunty Sam for all that you do. Driving down the road in the rain to let all of us see this video is so selfless and kind. Says so much of who you are. We all love you for that. I will never understand how anyone makes an unkind comment. What you all do is post goodness and happiness. I know your pack is large but I really hope Shadow has a permanent place in it. The whole video made me happy, but I was incredibly moved with Maggie who was fine with wolfie hanging onto her as he was standing. Now that maggie is learning, you can see the gentleness in her. She may be deaf, but she hears more than most when she deals with those who love her.
Freddo you are King of your Kingdom now. Miss Violet is head disher. Sam's girls Miss VIolet and Miss Red what a pair. Loved watching Wolfie use Maggie so he could stand and walk around. She didn't mine. What a great family day.

Miss Violet is incorrigible…and apparently always hungry! Freddo gives his whole heart to your family. The dogs gather in the kitchen because they know their patience will be rewarded (and dishes and floors always need a little clean up). Freddo giving Shadow a kiss and Wolfric standing with his arm on Maggie were special moments.
Chester has perfected his “I could eat” performance!
I never realized that Freddo's eyes are such a beautiful amber color. He is such a handsome fellow. I love Miss Violet helping out in the kitchen and then sitting at the table for all the world like she belongs in that chair! Chester was eyeing that popcorn bowl. I hope you got a chance to do some relaxing today.
Lovely video Sam. I don’t know how anyone could make an unkind comment about you. You are the kindest, most caring and generous person. The way you manage to do so many different jobs every day and remain cheerful and smiling is amazing.

What a happy home ! They used to tell us never feed a dog from the table but if its okay by Luke it must be okay !
But the difference is that all of the Evans Pack have good table manners ( except our daring Violet who just loves to break the rules and she has the excuse that she is not only blind but very deaf so is using that to her advantage 🤣🤣)
But Luke tells them when it's ok even Miss Violet except for when Uncle Luke is not watching.

I can only imagine that anyone who says negative comments regarding ANYONE (but especially our sweet Sam) on the farm must be suffering a pretty miserable existence. That is sad.
We all know Sam is truly an amazing, intelligent, empathetic to the core, loving and nurturing mother, wife, and friend. She has more talent in her little toe than many will ever have in their lifetime! She is such a beautiful being from the inside that how could she be anything other than beautiful on the outside? Love the way Freddie cuddles into anyone in his reach. Though I was hoping that Miss Violet didn’t get her head stuck in the dishes and pots, during her final inspection of them prewashing. I love the way the dogs all know they can come to the table, so they can try what’s on offer this morning. Then the twins cuddled up to each other is a wonderful sight. Chester with the bowl of popcorn, showed the Labrador’s do have manner. Maggie being Wolfie’s stabiliser as he was standing shows how boxers are such terrific dogs with children.

I talk to my 13 year old dog all the time even though his hearing is not what it used to be. Sometimes I wonder why I keep speaking . I guess I hope he can sense something ! I absolutely know it comforts me. It is reassuring to hear you talking to Maggie -
I believe dogs and humans are more perceptive than most realise. Some dogs know when your ill or when you are coming home. There's a knowing we don't use as we used too.

Freddo sounds like an old uncle, saying go away kid, I'm napping. Cutie Pie's wondering if Violet's going to leave any plates for her to clean. Playing tug or wrestling with Chester, Cutie Pie doesn't care about the size, she's into the game. Freddo and Shadow both are enjoying a beautiful time as the seniors of the pack, when neither thought there was a hope they'd have this. It's wonderful. Thanks for sharing!

No wonder Miss Violet sleeps a lot. All that energy....climbing into the dishwasher to clean up, climbing onto chairs to climb onto the table, waiting her turn for food, snuggling with Miss Red. I’ve noticed the past few videos Barney hasn’t been wearing his “nappies”. Is he getting better, more bowel control?

I've been wondering the same thing...maybe it's a combination of Barney being able to ask to go out in time, better diet, and the Evans' knowing his "routine" so well.
FYI, just alongside this video there are two more talking about the adoption of Shadow and Barney and Luke goes into a bit more detail on both of them.
But basically it's a mixture of living on The Farm, routine and controlled diet means that his incontinence will always be there but is more manageable at certain times of the day.
Let me think….. In the past year, Auntie Sam has HAD A BABY, dealt with Covid in various ways, had to close the daycare due to Covid, helped rescue 7? now 4 adult dogs, plus Shadow and 2 of her puppies, both special needs, taken in (Ive lost count at this point) dozens of puppies, gets her girls to school, with all that entails. I know I’ve left out yet MORE that she does, but still she makes time to film, add soundtrack and commentary for us!!!
There ought to be a special award category just for Sam...I don't know of anyone else who has so many different talents and puts them all to use every day!!🥰🥰

It is a pity you don’t feed Miss Violet and she has to get into the dishwasher to get enough food! She definitely has survival skills and is very bold! And cute!

We just put the plates and pots on the floor and they get pre washed before going into the washer. Easier for the pups and the washer!😂
