Hi over there. Welcome to the SC Hobby. Nice R8. I got it, too. A nice runner and even better than the Mecedes AMG GT3 Mann Filter. But I run mainly analog. I also run Digital, but mostly when friends are over. In your layout I see a fault, that beginners often make, if they run Carrera Digital. On yor left side, when you come out of the curve on the override, you positioned a double lane changing rail unit. This will cause problems, to switch the rails, because mostly when the cars come out of a curve, they tend to drift. Means you will not run straight over the diode you are passing on the track piece in the gound. Those digital cars need to run straight over the diodes in the ground, because, the diode underneath the chassis won`t pass it straight over the diode in the ground. That causes a signal sending fault and the changing of the rails is not possible. Always mount atleast one normal full straight piece after a curve and than mount the digital track piece, to secure the car straightens out after leaving the curve. You should also mount shoulders on the curves, to not deslot, or damage the cars, if you run into the border fences, when attached to the curves without shoulders. That will damage the rear sides of the cars. If you come out of a fast curve, you best install two full straights and shoulders, than the rail changing track pieces. Sometimes reading the manuals is necessary. Keep that in mind. Have fun and stay in the slot. Greetings from Germany 🙂
