Making another comment to say that Imprinting also goes hard, especially at the end of the song. But not only that, the image used in the video is just so majestic. It's simple, yet somehow nostalgic as well. Like something I would've seen in a storybook as a kid. And the footprints in the sand showing that someone is possibly walking towards that giant place in the fog... It's just crazy how it all flows with the music as well. A lot of the music invokes these weird feelings of nostalgia, but I can't pinpoint to an exact time period. It just feels so mid-late 2000s, and I'm not sure why. Must be a serious case of anemoia.
Thank you so much for your comment, it means a lot! I'm so happy you liked my drawing and my selection of songs. ^^ Wasn't expecting to evoke nostalgia with this so that's interesting. But I _did_ grow up as a kid in the 2000s! Maybe there was some subconscious inspiration.
Thanks for your thought and consideration, as they are immense and i can feel your appreciation for the artist; it flows through me into the keyboard and I am fascinated at the sensation.
30:50 damn... this track damn nice, so glad I found this gem through your collection, thanks for that before hodie, my favourite track of sakuzyo is synthesized angel
Nice compilation. Even though there might be too many Selentia and L'aventale songs in it (I think songs from Food and Musik would have fit perfectly here ^^). Also, your art looks very good!
What can I say, I love those two albums. :'D They were the first I heard from Sakuzyo, actually. I would've added more from others but this was an assignment for college so I wanted to keep it relatively short. That and... I'm not too familiar with all his albums. xD And there's also the story aspect I wanted to incorporate! Not sure how well I did on that part but I like the result. And thanks! I don't usually do backgrounds. ^^
@@crusnova Oh really? I gotta check them out then, I love me some jazz. As for the story, I didn't write anything, it's mostly just the feeling the songs give and the order they were put in, it's open to interpretation. I just meant what I had in my head. Though... I guess it wouldn't hurt to write it down at some point, huh?
thats some proper dope scenery, well I was kinda expecting some animation to go down here but even regardless of that, well dang! You did a solid job with this for sure. How long did it take ya?
Ah thank you! This was for college so I didn't really have a lot of time to do an animation or anything of the sort. Didn't even think about it, actually. As for the time taken... about an afternoon or so? On the drawing at least. I don't draw backgrounds much so I kept it simple. Thanks again, I really appreciate it! ^^

Ah, this was a long time ago and I never made anything concrete so bear with me- My idea was that the story was about an ancient kingdom and how it started, with Selentia representing the peak of its time. Then at some point (Neurotoxin), something happens that sends the kingdom down the path of decadence, as if someone predicted its fall. And by 7th Sense it falls to ruin, likely due to infighting. The rest of the medley is pretty much whoever's left of it reminiscing about the past, exploring the ruins, reliving every good and bad memory and finally telling the story like an old legend, but thinking fondly of it. Something like that.
@@dashyburd I've always associated Selentia as dealing with inner turmoil and conflict. Interesting to see that you interpreted it as prosperity in a sense.
Someone I find makes really good artcore, especially if you're into more "narrative-inspired" songs you can give codly a listen. Lucy god of time is a bop.

Selentia - Selentia goes SO HARD. Honestly Sakuzyo never misses.

Personally for me it flips between destroyer and stigma.
Lost memories is so cool
which is the only one with copyright too. :-:

I never got around to find out the genre that Sakuzyo makes, like is it softcore? Or is it something else?
He touches on many but from what I've heard it's mostly called Artcore! At least that's how I found more of his songs.
Someone I find makes really good artcore, especially if you're into more "narrative-inspired" songs you can give codly a listen. Lucy god of time is a bop.
Artcore is what people usually refer to it as. Symphonic electronica as well. It really depends on the album though.
