This is an incredible deck - I love that it is all three things combined: photo realism for some cards, abstract for others, and the amount of detail in each card without it being too busy - this deck is incredibly versatile for me and i think it can help build on our intuition! Thank you for sharing this review!
This is the first time i have seen this deck, And I love it. My birthday will be in a few weeks, so time to start dropping hints :) .. Thank you for showing this ad for your honesty. The abstract art is out of this world, for sure !! :) x
Karen, I've had this deck for a year and I'm just to dense to really make good use of it. So may I gift it to you for your bday? It's really a beautiful deck and I'd like it to live up to it's purpose. Are you a Gemini?
The minute I saw this deck I knew I had to have it. I'm a little hesitant because I am very new to tarot. Thank you for being so thorough in your review.
Thank you for this review, as my very first tarot deck I bought just 7 months ago - Deviant Moon - is already bent up, semi warped, and just... :( I didn't even use it that often. It SCREAMED out to me and I super connected to it, instantly - it is precious to me, as it was my intro into tarot and as said, my very first deck/only deck, for several months after. But the cardstock is so thin, slick and flimsy it looks years old after only moderate usage, and I sought out some other deck both of similar feel to me with the imagery/"darkness" connected to it AND better cardstock, to hold up for me. I stumbled upon the Black tarot deck randomly on Amazon and, exactly like with Deviant Moon, instantly, strongly connected to it - my heart was like "YES THAT ONE!!" lol. But I've been sort of afraid to buy it because I wondered if the quality was there and I'm happy to see now, that it is. Thanks again - I subscribed.
Woooow, this is a very unique...and interesting deck. It's certainly an intense one. I think I'd love doing shadow work with it. Thank you, as always, for your lovely review. Wishing you well. (I'm one of your silent viewers but once in a while I surface! LOL) ❤️
Too funny on the timing here. I just decided to return this deck. The quality is AMAZING but Amazon sent me a deck someone else had already had and returned and I just couldn’t click with it. The art looked great in the pictures I saw online but once I had it in my hands it just gave me sleep paralysis demon vibes.
I bought this deck recently; I love it, I haven't used it yet as it's a birthday present to myself. I paid way more for it as it's not available on Amazon UK so I bought it on eBay and had to pay £14 p&p and £11 import duties! But it's well worth it. Great review, I bought it for shadow work x
@wickedmoon I know this video is several months old now, so you may not see or respond to this comment, but THANK YOU SOOOOOOO MUCH FOR THIS REVIEW!!!! I stumbled upon this deck on Amazon just this evening and from the few pictures I could see I knew I would ABSOLUTELY love and connect with this deck, and seeing them here only confirmed that, though, as you said its definitely a deck to "sit with" to develop a relationship with and understanding of the cards.....but I have been looking for a tarot deck that FITS ME for sooooo long because I'm a challenging fit as a reader for most decks, because 1.) I am an artist so I am very picky about the imagery, 2.) I am a VERY darkly macabre soul and most tarot decks are very white light theology centric and "gothic" decks are too cliche.....but the hardest fit is that, for me, my associations of the swords and the wands are reversed from the depictions and interpretations of most commercial decks.....for me wands are associated with air, rather than the standard association with fire and swords are fire for me, rather than air; I think the abstraction will work in my favor there. Thank ever so much again!
So I have the nightmare before Christmas deck and I have since this last Christmas, but I haven't touched them. I'm a little afraid to work in tarot right now and I don't know why. And I also just have not idea how to like work tarot. I know my mom reads tarot and Oracle cards all the time and so does my older sister, but like the things they talk about just makes 0 sense to me. Like they'll say " oh I pulled cards on how these 7 games between these two teams is going to go" or "I pulled cards regarding my job situation". Do you have an advice at all on like how to get started or why I feel like this towards reading?
You have to trust your intuition. A practice that is heavily reliant on your third eye can be a little intimidating. Maybe start with some chakra alignments to open your heart and bravery to dive deep within yourself. Also, through experience, it might be a smoother transition into tarot if you start with oracle cards. Ones you can connect with or feel called to. That seemed to help me. The vivid imagery helped me read the card. I seem to have caught on quick to tarot after using that. This use of divination requires a lot of patience and connection with your higher self and your spirit guides. It's ok to feel nervous. The Nightmare Before 🎄 deck might be challenging to interpret if you're not well versed in tarot. Remember, it is a journey not a race. I usually say, "A life with a destination is a life short lived." Hope this helps!
Somehow the only cards that didn't speak too much were the more pip-ish cups. They were the only ones which were pip-ish. & Cups are my favorite suits. So, that's a bummer. But completely fascinating deck otherwise! Wow!

I realize this is a year ago. I have this deck although I've not used it or messed with it much. But mine is the knock off decks lol yes I have the guide book online. A lot of times people can't find the online guide book for knock off decks. You can't just scan the code you have to go to the website that comes up with the code and search. Sometimes a Google search. Sometimes a knock off deck will bring up different decks so it's just a game of search. Almost always the knock off decks although obviously cheaper, smaller, and cheaper quality, it tends to mimic the original. The knock off decks generally the cards are not as clear. The images are usually more dull looking The design on the back of the card is usually the same pattern . But this one is not. The original there has some kind of design on an otherwise black backing. Mine doesn't have the design. The back of my cards is just black. The front of the cards have the same imagery, but mine is really really dark. To the point to where the whole image can't really be seen because it just looks black. But you can tell it's the same design My box has the same design and the same reading on the back of it. Of course it's not as good of quality. It's typical knock off decks box The Tuck box as they've called I guess. I have a lot of knock off decks. Yes I like cheap and I mainly like the small size cards. I have small hands and short fingers. So the bigger cards are harder to hold onto and shuffle This is the first knock off decks that I e compared via video to the original and the design on the back is different lol Different enough?? And the images being really dark on mine going to make me buy the original deck? Nope They're not fake. Irritates me so bad when people try to say that bullsh1t. No you don't get a false reading from them. Some of my best and most accurate readings have been with knock off decks
I just bought this deck. I'm so excited. I am kinda a beginner but it called to me so much. I saw it and I KNEW I needed it

Suits my mood lately. I like the dark images, it’s like the wisp of smoke when it forms abstract visions. Interesting
❤️❤️❤️
Ooh, I love the depictions of the elements on the cards. The cups suits are lovely, and that's usually my least favoured suit/element.
The minute I saw this deck I knew I had to have it. I'm a little hesitant because I am very new to tarot. Thank you for being so thorough in your review.
I just fall in love with this deck first glimpse I saw it
Thank you so much for the review! I’ve been wanting for a clearer and up close flipthrough of the deck before purchasing it.
Youre very welcome ❤️

I could be wrong, but I thought this deck had a shiny embossed like shattered glass back…? Did I miss that version?
Hello! You are writing about "True black tarot", and this deck is different from a completely different artist.
Oooo those edges! 🤩 I’ve never seen such nice edging on a mass market deck.
Right? Love it so much ❤️

I like decks without faces too
fabulous -- thank you

You're right using the word "intense". Watching this stressed me a bit. lol Guess that means it's not for me.
