Another banger video bro! Damn that S3 looks clean AF!! I noticed after u put E85 in ur tank and u started the car it sounded more aggressive, or maybe im just trippin. I cant wait to see this new build man. Congrats again brotha! Keep bringing these banging ass content, I LOVE IT!!
Right I’m glad too he inspired me to build my GTI to where it’s at today, is38+, intake, DP, inlet and tune. Just got my intercooler waiting for the HPFP to go e85. I’m happy for you and it will be a lot of fun they are little rockets
@imgizmo4706 I've got a 24, so I'm waiting to pay my car off so I can take it to TVS to unlock the TCU, then EQT gti hybrid, Golf R head and cams, FBO, and 50/50 water meth (no e85 available).
Thanks for sharing the vid. I’ve just purchased a 2024 S3 8Y black edition Saloon (you guys refer to it as a sedan) in white. Seeing your S3 in white was a major factor in picking this colour. I just need to follow suit and order some aftermarket rims….. you’ve nailed it with yours by the way 👏🏼 I had a Stage 2+ Bootmod tuned M140i prior to picking my S3 up. So once rolling it’s not as fast but I’m sure it will be once I’ve worked my magic. I’ll be using APR intake, Racingline cooler and ECU/TCU software very soon. We refer to it over here as a 1+ tune. Anyways, enjoy your car & I look forward to more vids from you in the near future 👍🏼
I also have an 8Y S3, I have an APR intake but haven’t done a tune yet, didn’t know you could get away with e85 on stock fuel system and no dp and none of that. Might have to consider doing the same thing and see how the car does. If you’re still in warranty make sure you tell your dealer it’s tuned lol
Bigger injectors and pump would increase fuel flow for better E85. There’s a slight increase in power on stock injectors but you max out quick. E85 is less powerful per gallon than fuel but it provides cooling for engine which gives you the potential for better timing. That’s why it’s nice when it’s mixed, as opposed to 85%. I prefer a 35-50% for max performance unless you have 2000cc injectors. Then you can crank the max amount of ethanol content for more power/timing.
So curious why you went APR of all the tuning companies out there when you were pretty hot on EQT on the MQB platform. I just picked up a 2023 Golf R and thinking about tuning here soon. Before the R, had a FBO IS38+ E30 EQT OTS map on my 2017 GTI and it was insane. Was APR stage 2 (ECU & Trans) initially on my GTI as well and it just seemed like I was leaving some on the table but to be fair, those were the early days (late 2018). EQT, among others, are working on flex tunes for the MQB-EVO platform but no ETA as of yet, believe they depend on COBB for the flex-fuel hardware side of things.
@@JewelCity1 I gotchu. You think you'll go back to EQT when they got the sauce for you? I honestly thought or maybe assumed that it's the same engine in both the R and S3.
The 888.4 and larger Conti turbo slaps. I still personally would get the 8Y RS3 instead (if I wasn't a broke boy lol). But the 8Y S3 is dope. Too bad it didn't get the Magna like the 8R though.
Currently running stage 2 on my S3 and was destroyed by a Kia Stinger at the track recently. Dam how did it run a 10.8? What do I need to beat this time?
5 miles there is still at least a gallon in there. After swapping back and forth in my S3 I drove mine at 0 for a while. Its pretty conservative on the estimate.
its to allow access through diagnostic firewall. started with id/mk8 chassis that have over the air connectivity. just another safe aurd while flashing
@Jewel City idkkk about all that "just as fast as a 8y rs3" my 8v.5 was pushing consistent 3.7s bone stock and i know for a fact the 8y will drag me stock to stock. especially mod for mod also how you flash yourself??? apr always made me call for an appointment to flash *why im Unitronic now
Hey man, currently have a stage 2 e30 manual gti, I want more speed what would recommend for best bang for your buck? … obviously upgraded turbo + e but what turbo?
@@whats281 yea it’s pretty well known at this point that IS38s can handle 360whp reliability. People pushing 380-400 have a high chance of turbo failure. If you want more than 360 whp then the pmax is probably the next step with the vortex standard being a step up from that. But stage 2 is20 on E30 sounds pretty solid!
@@JewelCity1 I myself have a 2023 Audi S3, it is being painted now, then I am preparing for ST2+. But unfortunately, none of the tuners have hacked the gearbox yet. And I want to flash it with 034 motorsport. I will definitely tell you the results. But keep in mind that E85 is not pure, the maximum is E70/75. Agreed. Dudes a real one
Wait so this is just an intake and OTS file?? Thats impressive!!

Yoooo this s3 is Fkin moving after seeing that launch wtf
Knocked me back in my seat lol awesome vid!! 🔥
Youre back! What's been up! Love the s3!
I should be modifying my GTI next year. Can't wait!
Sucks I don't have e85, but we will see what happens.😊
Exciting times🚗

Nice ride man ❤
Excellent numbers my guy. Very jealous that you have access to E fuel man as it's not available where I live...
you should get a fuel it blue tooth ethanol sensor kit gives you peace of mind when switching

Just intake, e85 OTS file it was in the 9sec range
What made you go with APR over Unitronic? Not picking or judging sides just curious

Have you thought about using integrated engineering software? They have a TCU tune out for this platform too
No one has 2024+ TCU unlocked at this moment

Yes 100% I think once you hit 0miles there’s a gallon of reserve gas
That’s true, the ecu can adapt to the difference in fuel concentration so I wasn’t too worried. I refilled on full E85 later on
He mentions that in the video. 91 still being in the tank
@@shawnl9801 as long as you’re at least E60 it’s good
Are these flex fuel compatible from factory? Like you really dont need to change any hardware like the mk7?
Zero hardware needed to run full E, unlike mk7. Flex fuel will need a flex specific tune
Cool man. That's weird you have to have the hood open to accept the flash.
Yeah it’s part of the instructions. It doesn’t need to be fully popped just unlatched. OBD11 coding is similar

hell yeah
Why APR as your tuner, not EQT OR 034 ?
How do I get past the flashing screen that says “DANGER TO MANIFOLD”?
i coulda sworn you had a big turb gti..
Drove it this morning
Wonder what it makes to wheels in current configuration? 🤔 330-370
Should be in the 400hp range. These turbos are larger than the older mk7 is38

Vortex standard or Garrett P-max if you don’t want to run quite that much power. Is38 on E might give you turbo reliability issues after 40k miles.
