Ooooh! Keep the checkered floor! That is super in style now! but is also in general is such a classic/timeless look! I bet if you changed the walls, this room could be SOOOO cute!
You should definitely make that room your own office! I think you’d love it!
The checkered floor is very attractive, honestly! If you remove the metal panels, it will be more of a classic look. I’d reconsider making this your office space rather than the landing. Or it could be a very nice storage space itself if you add some cabinetry or wire kitchen racks for keeping emergency food storage and supplies.

I honestly think it's nice if you have an office that you can close the door. And I think the landing might be better as a play room one day. Or like a game room/hang out space/movie themed room (cinema)
You could put that our wedding sign with your names on a wall with wedding photos around it. Like a collage or something

I don't know how much you entertain but the Fiestaware makes a beautiful table setting for almost any occasion mixing the place settings. I also have Fiesta and use it with bandana handkerchiefs as napkins. Add some colorful flowers and candles and it makes for a beautiful tablescape! You can add touches of Spanish or Mexican with pottery or textiles and bring it to another level. There are endless things to do with this beautiful dinnerware. It looks great in the summer with colorful napkins, glasses and a wicker placemat. I could go on and on. If you decide to sell it let me know. You may have colors that I do not .

Loved the video, room looks great empty. Is it too small to turn into the new doggy room and then the old doggy room would be your new office since it’s bigger and you could do clothes try-ons more easily. Just a thought. You’re so fortunate to have that storage room down in the basement as well. 😀
I laughed so hard when you said "I am literally standing on a blanket right now." Love your channel! Cant wait to see more videos and other home makeover transformations. Our home office was kind of like this room and watching your videos gave me inspiration to give it a makeover.
I agree with this room as your office. You would be able to close the door when you need to walk away and not see it until it was work time again. That space upstairs would be a nice nook for relaxing away from the TV and kitchen when your inside. I would keep those shoes too lol I have some things from my teen years, probably too much, so if it's only a couple of things, it's not hoarding lol at least that's what I tell myself 😉 The sign from your wedding is probably in pictures, so definitely let that go. Looked like Guy Fieri decorated your kitchen area with the corrugated metal and checkerboard flooring and that room was his office lol I love the makeover in the kitchen and look forward to seeing what you do with this room whatever you decide to do with it😍
I always thought when I watched your home tour that the landing would be a perfect living room and where your living room is now would be a pretty dinning room!! That could be a beautiful project in the future to change the carpet obviously where your living room is but could look so so good!! And the the “race car” room for your office:)

Good Tuesday morning Abbeyfield. As usual, it looks like you've got a busy day ahead of you cleaning and deculttering all those items and cardboard boxes. You can do it. I think make it an office space! I would take the metal off the walls but keep the floor. Something fun and different.
I display my wedding decor on its own wall or in our room or around the house.
We had a room like this! Glad I’m not alone. It’s (very slowly) becoming a nursery for our first baby 😊

I think your Monica room would look so nice if you painted everything white and just do a neutral laminate flooring to lay over the tiles. Then maybe do the shiplap too!! ❤
I would do it as your studio/office room. Not sure if you’re doing any more try on hauls like you used to but that would be nice

If you love the items and have room to store them, keep them! Especially the fiestaware… I’m sure the colorful items will come back in still again!
I would make it a clean slate for now! Take down the wall treatment and different floors. It would be better served and maybe give you more inspiration on how to use it . Thanks for the relatable Monica room content!

Love friends. Watch it all the time! My house feels like a Monica house right now! 😊 my dogs don’t just have one room! The whole house is theirs. Lol. They are really good, but one is white, one yellow and one black. So we have a mixture of hair. Yours don’t shed,do they?

If it’s not your style anymore, and your not using them and don’t over the next six months to a year, then I would say either try to sell or donate them. Or if someone you know likes them and would actually use them then pass it along to them.
Donate or sell anything you don’t use. So silly to keep things in a box or storage just because you like them. Less is more… ❤
