It is slightly amusing that you didn't cut off the side bars of the websites you show, as such, I see quite a few pretty damn good videos on the recommended tab, Tasting History, Historia Civilis, etc.
Also, of course, the video was a great watch into UKIP, the last time I've even heard of it was when the three dimwits joined the party.
1:02:56 That chart is like... really now? The most notable one being Last Week Tonight's placement being... centre-right??? That and all four corners being just Jreg, from what I assume.

Yeah idk the more you look at the chart the more confusing it gets. I think all political compass charts eventually evolve into that. Glad you liked the video!

1:02:52 There is actually precident for TH-camrs winning in elections.
One such example in German TH-camr and Streamer Tobias Huch, but when you look at his online-content, you can see, why he was more successfull. Outside auf YT/Twitch he is also a journalist and listening to him, he gives a person a completely different feeling than Sargon or others mentioned.
Brazil has also seen successfull TH-camrs, turned politicians in Kim Kataguiri and Arthur do Val, although the latter one later obliterated his career by doing stupid stuff in Ukraine. Both btw have incredible campaign jingles, especially Do Val.
I think TH-camrs and Content Creators that want to go into politics must be aware of how to differently communicate to different types of people. That doesn't mean lying, but you can essentially say the same thing by insulting someone or giving a friendly critique. Often times successfull politicians can do both.
The UKIP TH-camrs don't seem to have been able to adapt, to the rest of the country. I actually think its easier for content creators to be candidates, because they have more media experience on average, but some just don't seem to grasp, in which situation they are and repeat the same mistakes around 50 times.

    CONTENT WARNING:
I say this in the description but I’m quoting people who are swearing, talking about sexual assault and just generally saying things that people may find offensive so just wanted to let people know to put on headphones or something if their not alone.
    Next couple episodes:
    History of Chile
    Ukrainian political parties
    History of china
    German political parties
    History of Taiwan
    Zimbabwean political parties

You need to point out the view of UKIP is that of MSM English people are generally not racist however have suffered under immense immigration in the last 20 years, I say that as an Englishman, a BREXIT voter and the husband of a Polish Wife.

Also, rewatching it, made a stupid mistake; the billboards telling migrants to leave weren't UKIP billboards, but actually conservative billboards. My bad! should have reread the quote. I do want to say though that my point still stands that there were other controversial statements coming from UKIP and Farage will apologize if he thinks he has gone too far like him apologizing for his "not a single bullet fired" comments.

I love Carl and I've followed his journey since GG however when you've spent your entire politically active life online instead of touching grass you end up with a warped perception of what is acceptable discourse in the mainstream political space. People expect a level of decorum in the real world, whereas commentators and online pundits treat the political arena like internet blood sports.
However I believe the primary reason for the death of UKIP was Nigel wanting to rule the party with an iron fist. However when that evidently wasn't going to be the case he jumped ship and dragged a large portion of the voter base with him. Then the party committing public seppuku by yeeting Gerard Batten as leader of the party.

Entirely agree with the first paragraph. People are much more civil when they look others in the eyes. It's difficult for many to not develop a warped view of the world when most of their exposure is through the internet, particularly in places which are partisan hive minds.

Interesting video and nice job. The party imploded for the various reasons you pointed out post-brexit, lurching to the right. This resulted in accepting a 'lower quality' of candidates as they lost support and money allowing these three to stand. you are right to not overestimate the importance of these three characters. UKIP would have got a poor result in any case.

Benjamin did speak on why he sent the tweet.
The purpose was to demonstrate how that even a non threat would be turned to a victim narrative. Sure enough, Phillips rose to the occasion. Rather critical bit of information to leave out.
A number of other points that didn’t give the full picture but pretty good.
I’d suggest, woefully wrong on the online influence. It was after Brexit and Trump the the internet, social media and YT started their option pogroms. They knew where to place the finger on the scale.

I wonder how big TH-cam's impact is on the US and Germany.

Hey! Love your videos! Keep it up. Also I completely understand that this is not a priority but is it possible you could redo Spain political parties after the national elections in December?

I might. We’ll have to see how the elections turn out and if any new parties emerge. I’ll probably make a community post talking about it but idk about a full video just cuz I do have a lot of requests for other countries. But I’ll keep it in mind!

That is by design - cheap labour keeps wages down and property prices high. It will also increase the tax base. Not so good for the working classes - that's why they made Labour introduce the policy - and why they simply scream "racist" at anyone who questions it. I call it modern day Colonialism - stealing the resources of poor countries, to benefit the rich countries.
