Every What-If in the game is top-tiee but this is genuinely one of the best. Jiren's willingness to move forward to the future makes the character much more lively and a blend of his Manga/Anime counterparts.
I know people said an ending like this would have been predictable, the same way as if Goku had won the tournament. But seeing it for real helped me realize how perfect this would have been. The idea that Jiren gave up a chance of seeing his teacher again, which was more selfless than wasting a cruiser trip with his family, would've been the best way of closing his arc.
The only wild card is if there's a What if for Freeza, but even then he may bring them all back just so he can rule over all of them someday in his mind. Or if he thinks it was all a trap and he might be erased on the spot if that isn't his wish.
I remember back in the day people in the fandom were bitching about Jiren winning because he would've made this exact same wish. Well duh! no matter who would had won, they would've wished everyone back or else the show's over. The thing is that Jiren had the most selfless wish to sacrifice for the rest of the universes.
Dang so if all the universes were going to get restored back no matter who won between universes 7 or 11 anyways, I probably would've preferred universe 11 winning the tournament of power. It would've been sad seeing goku and the others getting erased, but it would've been a really interesting ending in my opinion.
This is out of character for Jiren tbh He's a Pride Trooper but he's also kind of a selfish douche Despite having respect for Goku, and even if the final match was close, Jiren probably still would've used the wish to revive his master
Nah. The pride troopers are heroes and value justice. Especially after getting over his issues after seeing Goku get up again after being destroyed for using Ui. He is a morally good character, it makes sense he would have restored them.
@lowbarful i agree of course via the show if was selfish wish everything would be wipeout of existence honestly though the developers should've give player option to choose since this is what if after all
@@lorevaga822Dude, yes. A lot of people tend to forget that Jiren is still a hero. He was an antagonist, but never a bad guy. He clearly enjoyed Goku, and was so fascinated by him that he was able to let go of his past and move forward with today. It brings me comfort knowing regardless of how things would’ve turned out between them, everything and everyone would be alright.
In the manga, Jiren is way less selfish too. As a hero who fights to save people, him wishing back universes with trillions of lost lives makes total sense. + the Goku effect, he changed a lot of people for the better.

If only I could actually win, I’ve spent hours just watching goku kick my ass, I can’t get out of anything
So it wouldn’t have mattered who won in the end if Universes 11 and 7 were the last ones standing.
I think this is more of a 'showing the influence goku has on others'

There's another path for Jiren where he just wins. No wish to restore them.
Great as always😎
Hot Take, but I wished this was how the tournament of power ended in the anime with Universe 11 winning like i'd had been a good twist to see.
Same.

17 being the last one standing was the better twist.
huh, now i known the ancient language of the gods is just reverse english.
This was a beautiful ending
Why did bro say peas and carrots

He knows he can gather those dragon balls again for any future wishes.
