Speaking of Magma Dragoon, we did get him as a playable character in DiVE, being the first Maverick Boss to be playable. It's helps that he's the only maverick to have plot importance in X4 and DiVE, owing to his status as the best Maverick of the series. Mega Man 11 also gave us Torch Man, a Robot Master who has a similar fighting style to Magma Dragoon.

Incase no one mentioned, in Megaman Xtreme 2 in the castle stages, if you play as X to face Berkana, you can find a fake insta kill hazard wall that takes you to a doctor light capsule where he gives the hadoken and shoryuken to X. They activate by charge blasting and holding down or up respectively. The downside to this upgrade is they are not as powerful as their snes counterparts, but they’re still neat
The character Fistleo from Mega Man ZX has a move where he stands with his back to the camera with a red aura in the same manner as Akuma. Considering that Model HX shreds through Fistleo using Overdrive, I'm not surprised that you missed it.

The only downside is that they don't do a one hit kill to the bosses and have to charge up like the X buster, but can be used anytime even you're damaged. Though it's news to me that they can be obtained in MMXtreme2 since I thought it was only just MMXtreme.

Also, Zero's Ryuenjin (Dragon Flame Blade) from X4 is a move in which Zero's saber is lit on fire as he does an upward sweeping motion, reminiscent of the Shoryuken (Rising Dragon Fist). This move is iconic to Zero's arsenal, and returns multiple times later. Notably, in the Zero series while he has a flame chip equipped, and in ZX as one of the moves of Model Ox.

@Primeshiem Third Strike was released around the time Capcom started releasing games in the arcades named after references from their other franchises, like Power Stone (Megaman 5) and Cannon Spike (Cammy). So seeing MegaMan Zero have an endboss named Copy X and me maining 12 (he's not low tier BTW) at the arcades at the time, I immediately got it then.

Honestly, Magma Dragoon and Slash Beast are two of my favorite boss fights in X4. Although I will say tho, I actually never used his weakness on him, maybe I will to see how it affects the fight. Also I definitely know what you mean with his sprite work, idk, compared to X and Zero, bosses kinda just, don't flow like them.

I am no Nicholas Thulin but this is my take.
Presentation: 9.3/10 (Could've polished the sprite work more)
Pattern 10/10 (No questions asked)
Creativity 9.7/10 (Weakness is the weakness of this boss, like any other Mega Man X boss. It's still a creative fight)
Fun Factor: 10/10

able to keep you on your toes, fast paced, has a variety of moves. Honestly, Magma Dragoon and Slash Beast are two of my favorite boss fights in X4. Although I will say tho, I actually never used his weakness on him, maybe I will to see how it affects the fight.
Also I definitely know what you mean with his sprite work, idk, compared to X and Zero, bosses kinda just, don't flow like them.
@@PrimeShiem You should watch Nicholas Thulin's channel. He made 4 videos ranking classic series Robot Masters, Their Stages, Their weapons and Late Stage bosses. He inspired this Idea on me (Although, I replaced his 'Weakness' category with 'Creativity' )
