Mate you need to fish Earls Colne resevior in Essex, day ticket lake, Carp over 40lb and cats to... 145lbs lol They've got another fishery near Braintree called the Fennes, loads of cats in one of their lakes there too

I’m off somewhere on Wednesday for 3 days and they go over 85lb 😖 but I’ve only got my 3lb rods with 20lb mono, I did order some 4lb rods which now aren’t turning up in time and now I’m panicking I’m going massively under gunned 🤣
@@MattCroweAngling222just use way more rig tubing as cts have tiny pec fins but boy are they sharp, rig marrol tubing is best, not had a cut off since using it, great stuff sir 👌
Well done, good fish. I just say one thing that could help you. Ditch Carp fishing methods, If you want to catch decent Catfish you have to go big REALLY BIG. I've had some monsters in my time and I've watched one hoover a 20kg bag of 22mm Halibut pellets in seconds. Your rod is ok for UK but I would go heavier on your line around 40+, bigger sharp hooks 2no, bigger weight to set the hook 4oz and 2 x 22 with a pop up for balance and a long hook length because they can suck bait up from a long distance. Hope this helps you get a munster.

Cheers mate, tbh I thi k the rods were perfectly up to it. However I may well go for a stronger braid if targeting bigger specimens.
