- PakWheels is back again with another car review. With the launch of the new Yaris sedan, people wonder what are the main differences between different Yaris variants. And so we have brought a comparison video of Yaris 1.3 GLi Vs Yaris ATIV as well as first drive review of Yaris GLi.
Yaris recently replaced the 1300cc variants of Corolla in Pakistan. It is a sub-compact category car that now competes with Honda City. People are also comparing Yaris with outgoing 1.3L variants of Corolla, which were very popular for years in Pakistan.
Yaris comes in two engine options and a total of six different variants.

Great review. Very well done. Best Yaris review so far.
Pros:
1. CVT
2. 200 kg lighter than corolla xli/gli
3. New improved powerful engine
4. ABS, EBD, VSC, HSA, Air bags etc
5. Much better fuel mileage than xli/gli
Cons:
1. Interior all of cheap plastic
2. Poor seating space at rear as arm rest of front seat is extending till middle of back seat
3. You are unable to rest your left arm, as it is extended towards back seat
4. No rear view camera except in 1.5 ATIV
5. Only 2 persons can sit at rear seat
6. No back seat arm rest
7. Leg space for front and rear passengers is less as compared to Corolla
8. Price is very very high as compared to features offered (shld offer 1 variant without ABS, EBD, HSA, Airbags, power windows etc) and bring the car price down to max 21 lacs
8. Rim size should be 16" min

I have personally checked this car at toyota airport lhr. Let me tell you that this car has very poor leg room. Anybody with 6ft height sitting at back seat would be uncomfortable.

1.3 vvvti hatchback ka bata sakta hoon..18 k per L..1.5 vvvti will give you 14 to 15 k easily Also depend on your driving skill ..

Toyota usually sells 45,000-50,000 cars per year in the Corolla variant while Honda, combined it's all the models(civic,city,BRV) don't cross 24,000 mark. I'm quoting the figures from the last 5 years, but you can look even beyond that and find that Toyota has always been the choice of Pakistani's. And Honda never managed to come close to it even having lower price than the basic Corolla. That's the Trust Toyota has built since the last 31 years it started manufacturing here. Coming back to my point, Yaris will be a success story. City can't even think of coming close to it unless they introduce a new shape.

I own an toyota grande cvti. I am just amazed of yaris features which include 7 speed cvti gearbox in ativ plus opti-tron meter and an ativ having push start. I believe these all features give yaris an good edge, specially cvti transmission which would result in less engine load with as per claimed average and i admit it would be even more than quoted figures, this car had made me think to change it with my grande 2015 cvti full option. As it would be a trust worthy brand new car with new and smooth suspension. Weather its 1.3 litre cvti or 1.5 litre cvti 7 speed. I believe it will deliver good amount of torque those who had experienced Grande. THANKS FOR READING. LIKE IF YOU AGREE.
