Very well done. Knowing church history/ history in general is so helpful because our country is young. There was no separation between politics and religion, including Christianity. Jesus lived among both. Look at how most disciples died as well as some of the early church fathers; they died with conviction and humility knowing who they were representing. They were willing to die out of sheer love for their Savior and none were divided. They all knew the Kingdom and the King for whom they lived and died. When we are so deeply rooted in our relationship with Christ, in prayer and living a sacramental life, God will give the grace to live a life of trust over fear. If we truly believe that we are all made in the image of God then as his children we understand that all have value and that changes how we see humanity. God bless this pastor for such a thoughtful, fearless message.
