We used to camp here with some friends when I lived up there. A big group got cabins together on Gypsy Trail on Quaker side. We were right on the creek. Was always so much fun. The beaver are used to people. They would come up pretty close to us to get apples. We saw a Timber Rattlesnake at Thunder Rocks one time and a Copperhead at the Bear Cave area another time. Yup, there are venomous snakes up there. Have seen a lot of deer and a million raccoons and other animals but only saw a bear one time. It was walking down the road by horse camp. Also used to sometimes stop at the park and do some hiking or driving around when we went to Salamanca. I think you could go there everyday for a year and not see everything. It's different everyday.
