The Grammy’s had cut off Frank Sinatra’s acceptance speech earlier in the show because it ran too long and they needed to go to commercial. Billy thought it was very wrong, “You don’t cut off the chairman of the board”. This was his smart aleck retaliation by wasting valuable advertising time.
