For the third time this season alone, PGMOL reached out to Brighton to apologize for wrong refereeing decisions in their 2-1 loss to Spurs last week. They had a goal wrongfully disallowed and were denied a penalty in that game. These are decisions which have cost Brighton points and all they get are apologies.
So, the question now is - why is officiating getting worse in the Premier League?

This VAR Technology is really drying the love for football. There are also other scenarios where VAR has cost Big clubs in the PL points.
It's not about VAR, it's about the people who make conscious decissions to use it in a wrong way, or to NOT use it when you expect them to, and to favour certain teams. VAR makes it obvious that something is wrong. And the people is the problem, not the technology.
VAR-technology works just fine in every other sport.
Var referees are the ones to blame alongside the main refs on the field, var is just a technology(tool) built to reduce the amount of human mistakes yet it shows that even with advanced technology pgmol found a way to shit on almost every game and shut up everyone who blame their chosen pro officials...
Put me in VAR and I can do 10 times better than the crap decisions they make
There should be a review system like DRS in cricket, when you have like 1 review and then if you use your review, the decision is up to the on field referee.

Time for a global implementation of the ball technology they tested at the world cup. The sensors are more or less able to pinpoint the exact moment the ball leaves ones body, down to a few milliseconds.

it's d referees dat are dumb cos they have d final say. If VAR declares a goal "offside" , then he reviews and gives a stupid verdict. He can easily overrule VAR.
Okay so what about the merit table that us ENGLISH referees use to see how we are doing compared to other officials (first introduced at L4)

One of the best games this season was Liverpool v arsenal because there was drama and all that but also no 5 minute long VAR nonsense
This is probably the case the referees probably just don’t care, as they themselves make £38,500 and £42,000 salary. So they just want the money and don’t actually care about their job

Research northern mafia. Interestingly, some teams get favored more and some teams get the most bizarre of decisions against them. Until judgement day itself, we can only speculate on the shenanigans that go on behind the scenes.
Lack of quality ref is the issue. Antony Taylor is a prime example.nthis guy is not qualified to be in EPL
If VAR wasn't there, Liverpool would be winning the EPL and the champions league trophy from the time the technology was introduced

Yes VAR has been bad but back then say the Maradona had of god should of been called off. They should sign foreign managers for the job so there is no favoritism or ect.

I thought you had a point until you called referees ‘the most protected individuals in football.’ A recent survey showed that 2/3 of refs face ‘regular abuse.’ Your statement is grossly inaccurate.
When they masek these decisions it is kinda not much but a little justified
