MyMoppet52, I must agree with Ivette Martinez.....the audio/video of Jamey Johnson/Rebel Solder is quite remarkable!! I'm 63, and watching that video evoked 'things' in me the likes of which I did not know existed! What a supreme pleasure it is to be able to see and hear this video!! This video right here, (Train), is remarkable as well....and in all the aforementioned ways!! I have subscribed! It just about breaks my heart to see that only 1,178 folks have viewed this video! I can only wonder what other 'treasures' I am missing out?! Thank you......and sincere compliments to you!!
This is the first time I have heard these songs too. I grew up on a ridge in KY about 12 miles from Rosine KY, Home of Bill Monroe and Bluegrass ❣️ This is bringing back a ton of memories of sitting with my grandfather on people's front porch on Sunday listening to people picking banjos & spoons... Rocking chairs creaking. Watching my grandpa sipping moonshine ❣️ Bill was his 2nd cousin, they grew up across a holler from each other. My aunt married John Prine's 1st cousin. I married a guitar player {21 yrs... He's been playing since the 70s.. Greg Allman was his hero. I always liked hard rock.. then 90s brought new genre of music I loved n still do. I am glad I found this too! It's bringing back a part of me I had forgotten... But loved!
MyMoppet52, commenting to you on Rebel Soldier, since I couldn't comment on there. Beautiful song. Just listened to a few other songs, including this one Train and I am loving your downloads. Thank you.
Ivette Martinez Agreed. I hope one day we can reach a point where decent discussion of the Civil War can be had, without fear of repercussions or pointless anger.
Love it. Love all your videos. Came here because of the song "Rebel Soldier" which, due to highly unfortunate circumstances (people will not let it rest, sad to say) i was not able to comment on. As a student of the Civil War and a fan of folk music, i enjoyed it. In short, thank you so much for the delightful videos and i hope one day we can reach a point where decent discussion and commentarry about the Civil War can be had without worry of anger flaring.
comettamer thank you for your comment. I tried & tried to keep the comments open. I don't believe in disabled comments. I believe. Music is a universal language & joins us together. (In theory). I saw continued hate & finally gave up. I hope to have music be the focus ...maybe in the future ppl will drop the hate. Thank you for your kindness, Moppet
comettamer I love Civil War music. I've collected & have a Civil War Playlist if you ever want to check it out. I'm a history buff also. Nice to meet you.

I really love this, it has that contemplative yearning sound ( does that make sense?) And, of course, THE MOPPET presentation.
YES!
