I have to disagree with those wishing for third-person gameplay. Just play a few seconds of Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie (2005), and you’ll understand why developers often opt for the immersive first-person route. The game pulls you into its world by stripping away the HUD and making you rely on your surroundings to gauge details like ammo count, environmental cues, and puzzle elements. This approach doesn’t just increase immersion; it challenges players to pay closer attention, deepening the experience by engaging their senses in ways third-person gameplay rarely can achieve. There’s a reason why most immersive sims are designed in first person. Games like System Shock, BioShock, Prey, Alien: Isolation, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Thief, and Dishonored all prioritize this perspective to fully draw players into their worlds. Some, like Deus Ex: Human Revolution, incorporate a hybrid approach by switching to third person for certain elements, such as takedowns, cover mechanics, conversations with NPCs, and cutscenes. However, the core gameplay remains primarily in first person, emphasizing immersion and player engagement through a direct, more personal perspective.

@@binarycode9893 it's head movement not framerate
I think the source is Xbox, so there is a 30 fps lock. I'm not sure!
@@peterkarminas9512 Xbox can do 60fps
@@peterkarminas9512 It's more like 3 FPS when the combat starts at the beginning.
Looking better than I thought it would! Thank goodness game pass has it coming soon
Tony Todd has just died.
Those character models are incredibly cool
I expected it to be the 3rd person, I think it would have been a better experience than the first person mode!
I like the punching sounds! Feels like a Stone Golem fights, rather than some normal humans fighting
Such a shame that Microsoft decided to kill any momentum they had this year for xbox by not only giving this to playstation but also announcing it months before xbox gamers even got a chance too enjoy it
Honestly props to Troy baker, dude really sounds like Harrison in these bits.
Game looks amazing, might be my GOTY.
I visited Egypt a year ago. Looks great!
Much like the last movie, it feels as if they are relying on nostalgia so much they forgot to make an original adventure.
Great decision making it first person!
What's this running 30 fps??..... Roll on the ps5 pro release.
More like 12fps.
Like all games, best on PC
Pro dont have a cpu
It's on PS5 Pro. Quality mode. If you want to actually play games please buy a PC already.
NO!!!! 👎
The hand-to-hand combat reminds me of Chronicles Of Riddick Escape From Butcher Bay. Not that it's a bad thing. This looks pretty rad
Looks awesome!
I bet Harrison Ford doesn't even know this game exists lol
He got paid BIG money for this.
This looks great, I'm in for it.
Gme looks off lmao
Nah it’s on
Okay… I’ll be damned. This doesn’t look half bad. I’d definitely play this if I got the chance!
am i the only one who think it looks like a generic UE5 asset flip with an Indiana Jones skin slapped onto it? Like, I don't see any unique artstyle, the lighting and the character models look generic af
so edgy man I wish I was as cool as you
@kidkique why are you taking everything as a personal attack ? It does look generic. Maybe you are too basic to notice but it's not edgy to think something doesn't look very unique

@@kidkique Not trying to be edgy, just pointing out something I've been seeing a lot in these newer games
Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb is one of my all time favorites and I've been waiting for another Indy game for over 20 years so I'm pretty critical, but I gotta say this looks pretty promising so far. Of course I would have liked 3rd person, but I'm hoping the first person has it's own unique benefits and immersion.
If you like Indy and haven't already - go play Emperor's Tomb. The platforming, melee fights, gun fights, and crazy scenarios you are put in make it one of the most fun games I've played!
Looks like it's running at 20 fps whenever there's combat involved
Yeah I don't see many people talking about the performance lol. There are like 10 FPS dips in combat. This is alarming.
It runs at 60 fps for series x and s
Its running in those terrible ass Xboxes. Get it on a PC with a rtx 5080 and the framerate might be better, hopefully...
Looks like ass 🤮
@MagnitudePerson it runs at 60fps on Xbox.
Avatar frontiers of pandora nailed the first person!!! I have high hopes for this game! Also, more games should just allow you to switch between cameras.. not sure why this isn't a staple by now when so so many games allow you to freely choose.
This! Weird people should be able to enjoy parkour in first person! It can be cool at times, and everyone else should be able to play 3rd person like it should be played. Switching in such games should become a standard. With new technologies it's not that hard to make good animations for 3rd person even if you're indie developer.
@@xen0m its not really about animation but mostly game design and level design. Changing perspective means that you need to adjust every elements in the area, it Can be done in open World such as Bethesda ones games because of the scale but for an immersive sim specially with huge emphasis on stealth like il seeing here, i doubt of the good result
@@ReacTeam64 In the past most of the times it was about animations because of budget restrictions, it's cheaper to make. And yes, its also about game mechanics. Stealth and dimensional puzzles are better in third person. This game is action-adventure, nowhere it says anything about immersive sim, just people making that assumption from it being first person. Machine Games never made any immersive sims.
@@xen0m not sure about 3rd person better for stealth, every game is different and makes immersive in their own way, for me and many people we don't need to see our character AT every moment to be immerged like Dishonored or CBPK to say the least.
And yeah it surely isnt an immersive sim but more of an adventure/puzzle game
I'm glad it's in first person
Glad your the only one homie, so many games coming out that look miles better, I just hope this stays a Xbox exclusive, people shouldn't waste more money on troy bakers annoying ass 😂
@@forest8779 as I much don't like Troy Baker it's not exclusive it's coming to PS5 after the Xbox and PC versions
Great finally a non commentary version
This game needs a VR mode so bad.
VR needs this game so bad**
sounds great! looks great too!
The game is looking good, but I still don't understand the first person choice...
because its made by Wolfenstein developer. most of Bethesda studios are FPS game maker
I don't understand people whining about it.
