20-person brawl shuts down Laguna Beach hotels

- Two Laguna Beach hotels have been shut down after a violent 20-person brawl broke out on Wednesday.
Hotel Laguna and 14 West Boutique Hotel were closed down by authorities “due to unsafe conditions and to protect the health and safety of the public, people inside the premises and Laguna Beach Police officers,” said Laguna Beach City Manager Shohreh Dupuis.
On Tuesday, police responded to separate disturbances at two Laguna Beach hotels. At both locations, there were “trespassing claims and a physical altercation occurring between two different security teams armed with firearms as part of an ongoing civil dispute over operating and management authority at the hotel properties.”

That's exactly what it was the owners fight over business dispute each one of them want it to ACT LIKE A BOSS ! They got their security and 💩 went off guard instead of protecting their clients and one guard swinged on another and it was a wild zoo

The report says nothing. The owners and security might be cartel or other criminal org. You know nothing of the incident from this report except SOMETHING HAPPENED between some people, no one was arrested.

You sounds like you blaming the security for it when in fact it have nothing to do with the security it's all about a dispute between the businesses partner and each one got their own security trying to take each other's property by force security isn't the one makes the decision what the security need to do
The clients got into physical fight their security trying to separate them but it got way to big
If anyone to blame is the hotels owners they should've peaceful end their businesses together and not been a group corp anymore
In today's time hotels needs security because of so many crimes happening in hotels I'm armed security for the last 7 year I witnessed murders,drug trafficking, kidnapping happening in hotels across California not just a small area of Laguna Beach so many times where our security team stumbled on rooms where thry cooking meth in there some other time we found a dead body with a shotgun laid next to him another time where a kidnapper was in a room with the victim chained in the bathroom all that was been discovered by members of security walking around during shift looking around for any suspicious activity

3 or 4 years ago I witnessed my self on the job doing security for a small strip mall with two levels in old Pasadena where the mall bottom level had a bar that open till 2am I was assigned from 3am till 12 noon the next day I came in parked my car at the parking got out to petrol lower and uper levels and check doors and i stumbled on a male Caucasian 37 years of age hanged from his neck by his waist belt over the guard rails to the outside from the second floor
Imagine you walking bottom level and see a body hanging above you from the second floor by his neck and his body dangling from the outside of the guard rails when Pasadena PD arrived they found out that he was in the bar drinking and after the bar closed with no guards around he hanged him self committing suicide by his own hands sadly the CCTV camera showed him hanging him self tipping over the guard rails as he tided the one end into the Rails 😞
No body knows what was he suffering from mental breakdown but may he rest in peace
The two three nights after his death I swear to God I would hear a male moaning in tears every time I passed by the spot he committed suicide at like sounds of a growing man crying in pain I couldn't work there anymore after that the mall was hunted at that point I moved to another account I couldn't sleep for a month

Not surprised that security guards were fighting. I've seen security guards on college campuses and in grocery store parking lots act as though they had supreme authority to bother people on just the suspicion of trouble. You can be taking a nice walk and you may be stopped and "interrogated" with stupid questions. Many of these guys have very little education and try to compensate for their shortcomings by being forceful.

@@jasonn4597 I lived there for 19 years. I went to the police citizens academy and a ride along and got to know several of the patrol officers. As I said, for a city of 25K it has many high profile crimes, we discussed all of them
