    Slightly wider tires and slightly taller sidewall would go a long way in keeping the rims from getting beat on. Beauty machine. I have a 2021 850 XT. Just have heated grips and the mbrp slip on exhaust. No programmer. Not yet anyway. I get about 80 miles to a tank of slightly aggressive trail riding.

    • @miillersoffroad
      @miillersoffroad  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes! Couldn't agree more. I'm torn because the stock tires are great, but I want one size up in width and height. Wish I could sell the current tires.

    iEB is one of my favorite features as I've always disliked excessive engine braking. After having mine on the medium setting for a few hundred miles I set it to Low and have never gone back. I live in the mountains as well and find I still like it on the minimum setting.
    Throttle response in Work Mode; I'm surprised at how much I use that setting. It's nice when loading and unloading in my pickup and maneuvering in tight quite rough areas. When you're being jostled around in the rocks and stumps you can inadvertently move the throttle when you don't want to. Work Mode smooths all that out.
    Ride Comfort: I learned the longer wheelbase Max version has a smoother ride yet. While you loose a bit of maneuverability in switchbacks, I chose the LWB version and rarely have a problem with not being able to get around a corner requiring a three-point turn. I have the spring shock settings at the softest, so my Outlander Max 850 has a very cush ride. And I love that!
    Power: I wanted more than I'd ever need and I sure got that! Maybe all that power is necessary for mud bogging, but I don't do that. The smoother V-Twin was high on my list as well for it's smoother operation versus a large one cylinder engine.
    I've gotten as low as 14 mpg on really rough slow going and as high as 22 mpg on very nice Forest Service Roads averaging around 20mph on that ride.
    Good luck on your purchase. I've been very, Very happy with mine.

      Thanks for the insight man! I'm looking forward to sharing my thoughts on all of it in upcoming videos. Really looking forward to iEB especially.

    CAN AM BABY!!!!!

  • @jasonmiller9495
    @jasonmiller9495 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I was going to get the 2024 can am max 700xt but by time you paid for the extended warranty it was over 16 grand for it. I ended up going with a cf moto 800xc touring I also has the dealer put good 6 ply Sedona tires on it and I absolutely love the ATV. The best thing is with the tires out the door with warranty I paid 10,800.00 $ for it. The only experience I have with CanAm is my friends 570 which I loved riding. I was worried that the CF Moto 800 wouldn’t have as much power as his 570 thankfully I was wrong. I just couldn’t afford the Can Am it wouldn’t have been financially responsible of me to spend that much money on it. Don’t get it wrong if the 16000 wasn’t too much for me I would have picked the Can Am

    • @miillersoffroad
      @miillersoffroad  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    • @miillersoffroad
      @miillersoffroad  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Man I'm sorry about that lol! You know I love the brutes and always will. But at some point in time Kawasaki needs to do something or they will continue to lose loyal fans like us. This latest facelift is just that, nothing more than a facelift on the same frame with the same wheels and engine. It's sad to see.

    • @miillersoffroad
      @miillersoffroad  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Didn't like the color options or the price tag. I'll be way cheaper installing the fox shocks or elkas myself in the future if I choose to. Besides that, even the stock XT suspension and ride quality is so much better than my Kawasaki, I'll be really happy for a while.

      I'm changing to the Can-Am based on the other two guys that ride with us. They have absolutely beaten the crap out of them and not had a single issue. One of them has 800 more miles on it than my Kawasaki and still no issues and he's been so abusive to it. I've been running brutes exclusively since 05. It was time for change.

    • @utahwanderlust700

      @@miillersoffroad I've got 27,000 miles on my Kawasaki ATV and live where riding 100 miles a day is nothing unusual. My friends have had quite a few Can Ams and ride them a lot. What I've found is that Can Ams are really hit or miss. If you get a Monday made machine, it will be great. If you get a Friday machine, it will give you fits and be a hole in the ground you throw money into. I hope you got a Monday machine.
