Great review sir! You spent a lot of time on this test and you have produced a very informative video. More TH-camrs should follow your approach. As for the results, I was blown away with the sound of the audio technica microphone and will be giving one a go.
@ive595 thanks a lot for your comment.I just tried to help people out there looking for an unbiased comparison and don’t know which to purchase.for me also it was surprising how good AT is for the price and how overhyped the rode is, rodes noise floor is a big downside.take care ✌🏻
@YTHalilo, thanks a lot.yes, you are right, even the cheapest mic. sounds much better in a treated environment, these are self made acoustic panels by the way 😊 take care ✌🏻
This is one of the best reviews Ive watched. TY!! I thought a shotgun would be best for an untreated room. Until I heard the mv7. Likes and subscribed.
@ww1www hi, as i mentioned you should pick the one which matches to your voice and room, i love the mke600, my only complain is the size, a little too long but I ignore it for the sound quality 😊 take care
very interesting comparison including distance, environment and comments on the voice. We have similar vocal range so that is useful for me. I think the best sounding mic is the AudioTechnica, it has a clear sound without giving a colouring and is easier to understand, and that is surprising as it is the cheapest .... maybe I have cheap tastes.
@blaspayri thanks for your comment and visiting the channel. It is personal preference I would say, AT and Sennheiser are very similar, Sennheiser has a little deeper sound, I like it, main reason for choosing the Sennheiser was for me the battery function, I can use it on the cam as well.sizewise AT is little smaller and better. take care.
Wow, what a great video! Im warching the whole day mic comparison videos, but yours is amazing. Very clear ordered, straight on the point and every important explained
Excellent material for beginners, thumbs up! ;o) I am only missing AT875R recording from the rear of the mic (during walkaround) and the proper aiming of the MV7 at the end of the test.
@jendzora MV7 is the first mic. I bought. If the mic. in front of your face is ok and you have an untreated room (no sound panels, reverb), it is the best solution and sound quality is as known great. it is not portable. at875r is almost identical with the Sennheiser from rear.
Strangely the B1M and the Hollyland as well as the Shure all sound bad to me, muffled at times, but with the reverberant room they sound better. The Röde, Sennheiser and Audio Technica all sound good. However The Sennheiser sounds the best, second best is the AT875R. The NTG sounds like a midway between the 'good group' and the 'bad group'. The Sony sounds okay in terms of timbre but it sounds ever so slightly muffled. The Röde NTG sounds okay but a bit flat/thin, kinda similar to the Sony. The Shure sounds like you're speaking through a pillow, it's very muffled. The Hollyland sounds like the amp is too high, it has weird sound. Came here since I was about to pick the AT875R up but wanted to hear a comparison. Well, it's good for sure, but I might end up going for the MKE600 in the end, yeah it's 40% more expensive but I do think the sound justifies the difference in price. I wish it didn't, but I can't argue with what I hear. I'm not that surprised, I've been using Sennheiser headphones for 20yrs for a reason, but I really was hoping the AT875R was going to "be enough" so to speak. And, it sorta is and isn't, the timbre is good but the dynamics/clarity are just far enough from the MKE600 that at the price difference it makes sense to go for the Sennheiser. If the AT875R was closer to half the price it might win, but at 2/3rd of the MKE600 no.
Hi, 100% agree, actually i wanted to keep the Rode but the sound did not convince me and the other issue is the noise floor, in no review i heard anything about it.Sennheiser is now my everyday mic, for 40% higher price you do not get only slightly better sound quality, also the option to use it with a battery, very versatile. The only downside is the size, little shorter would be great.enjoy it and take care ✌🏻
Hi @jeffbourke it depends on your use case, when you are a vlogger walking around , you have to do it, but you can not focus to a specific person , picking others voices , not ideal.what Kind of use cases do you have?
Hi @mifrabureno, yes, I do agree, mv7 is the king of untreated rooms ☺️ overall I like the mv7 sound , but I don't like having it in front of my mouth all the time.MKE600 and AudioTechnica are pretty close and impressive , rode is little disappointing because of noise floor, not as clear as the others

The Audio-Technica AT875 R sounds fantastic.
Hi Roberto, yes it does, especially for the price 😊 take care
Good Video and honest :) MKE 600 have a good sound and also 0 noise
Thanks for your comment @geniuscompass
I was also pretty impressed as I heard the sound with headset. Take care ✌🏻
The acoustic panels really made a huge difference. Thanks for the great video!

@VicMorrowind thanks a lot for your comment 🙂
Bardzo interesujące, mnie podoba się audio technika. Jakiego mikrofonu używasz najwięcej czasu podczas filmowania?
Cześć, Sennheiser MKE 600
Such a good video. The AT875R is top value and a good size.
@carl-camera thanks a lot, yes It is pretty impressive for the price ☺️ take care ✌🏻
The MKE600 killed them all. I have one, but on my voice and in my room it is much closer to the VM NTG actually.
@ww1www hi, as i mentioned you should pick the one which matches to your voice and room, i love the mke600, my only complain is the size, a little too long but I ignore it for the sound quality 😊 take care
he was boosting it in post, no way it sounded THAT much better, otherwise no one would buy the 416 lol
no boosting ☺️ untouched audio from every single mic, btw I bought all the mics with my own money, no sponsorship or free products.take care

@@wheelxtech Definitely, the independence and versatility that the battery gives you is undoubtedly the best thing about the microphone.
But for the price AT is not easy to beat if you don't need the battery function
Wow, what a great video! Im warching the whole day mic comparison videos, but yours is amazing. Very clear ordered, straight on the point and every important explained
Thanks a lot @graef.studio I hope it helps people out there, not an easy decision honestly. Take care ✌🏻

@jendzora Thanks, that is exactly what I wanted to achieve :) I was looking for a video like that as I started my TH-cam journey.take care

Surprised by lark max. Very good sound. Better than shotguns for me (if shotguns on distances). But best shotgun mke600
Agree, especially in untreated rooms it’s pretty impressive , keep in mind there is no eq adjustment, for none of the mics.take care ✌🏻
generally try to avoid investing in mics that are design to sit on the camera as this is usually the worst place to actually put a microphone.
Hi @jeffbourke it depends on your use case, when you are a vlogger walking around , you have to do it, but you can not focus to a specific person , picking others voices , not ideal.what Kind of use cases do you have?
It’s MKE600 for treated and MV7 for untreated, for me

Yes, I’m also in the same boat! :) good video!
Thanks a lot, take care ✌🏻☺️
I keep thinking Rammstein.
👍🏻 😊
