Finally I’ve found someone with the same hair as me. This is exactly how my hair turns out when I try to do a silk press. Gonna try it out tomorrow

I’ve just tried to do the silk press on my 4c hair and it’s sooo fluffy I did blow dry it first before using the flat iron but nothing works! I can’t seem to get that really flat silky look! What could be the issue could it be my flat iron? I need help!!!

I’d say blow drying your hair as straight as you can get it is the most crucial step. Also making sure your scalp and hair is dry prior to flat ironing helps too so that you aren’t frying your hair or creating steam. Once your hair is completely dry and blow dried straight, apply a small amount of a heat protectant + flat ironing/sulking serum. The less products, the better. You don’t want your hair weighed down but the serum helps with the sheen and smoothing of your hair. Using a ceramic flat iron helps and also having the heat high enough to press your hair but not burn it helps as well. A trick I’ve learned with blow drying too is you can pull your hair out/stretch your hair out before blow drying with a brush or blow drying attachment. It helps stretch your curl pattern and shortens the time spent combing through your hair trying to get it super straight while drying.
I hope this helps and makes sense lol !!! ❤️

Oh and flat ironing in small sections helps ALOT too! You never wanna flat iron in big sections, the heat won’t be able to properly penetrate and smooth your hair. Passing through those sections make sure to take your time too (not too long or you’ll burn your hair lol). The most passes you wanna take through your hair is 2

Yes girl the struggle is reallll! sections being smaller, products and just taking your time helps …but same mine took a few tries to actually sit kinda flat but I also think it helps if your hair is heat trained ..when it’s natural and not use to it thick hair hates being tamed 😩😩😩

I went to your website to order some products, I'm from the UK but all of your products are showing in pounds???? It's coming from the US, so why isn't it showing in dollars?? Having the prices in dollars means its slightly cheaper for us in the UK where the pound is stronger and balances out having to pay so much additional money in shipping and taxes to deliver it to the UK. However showing the prices in pounds as oppose to dollars makes it uneconomical for us to support and purchase from your business.😢 Please consider just leaving the prices in your home currency which is dollars.

Please do you apply leave in conditioner before applying the heat protectant?

I’ve tried before and it’s better if you do it before blow drying your hair and a very small amount … if I use too much it makes the hair less soft and movable when you straighten
