Google is really smart for implementing their own AI and combining it with their already powerful ecosystem with docs, gmail and drive I can't imagine how popular this software is going to be in the future!
Im in South America and we dont have the "extensions" tab. It would be wise for them to start rolling it out to other countries, before Microsofts starts rolling out its Copilot Pro.
You're wrong actually, it's also integrated into the Workspace suite, inside Docs, Sheets, etc. I addition, you can now use the standalone experience. For now, Workspace is using Gemini Pro though, not ultra.
