    This was entertaining but would have been cool to see more actual lubes (e.g. - graphite bike chain lube) that could be viable replacements. Could find the next PE foam.

    i've not been in the keyboard community for long and i've only been subbed to this channel for a few months but i'm glad that i'm here, watching this video. the bit with mustard shorting the switches made my night, had me trying really hard to stifle my laughter because everyone in my house is asleep atm. thanks squashy for putting out banger after banger!

    Lubing the switches with mustard does not only give you a lovely smell after a few days, but you also created the keyboard equivalent of the tesla autopilot. Total win!

      It won't melt anything, the real reason you shouldn't use it is because it is water based and will dry out and leave residue.

    For anyone genuinely wanting to get a cheaper substitute lubricant should look to find the kinematic viscocity of the oil(use an oil of fat) at room temperature, 205g0 is roughly 522 cSt. Also try looking for its oil seperation %, you dont want the oil separating on you.

    i spray lube my stems with teflon. its basically whats in the korean spray lube cans. i ignore the housing because i dont wanna accidentally block any current and i can avoid over lubing it

      MX blues started to skip letters from to time. Compressed air didn't help. Alcohol didn't help. WD-40 as always helped. And side effect is that all my switches are lubed. But not too much. Exactly as I always wanted. Nothing melted.

    Back in my dark days of playing osu I lubed my shitty outemnu reds with coconut oil.
    really helped ngl.
    one thing I should say is that do not use a lot at all since it can seep through the switch.

    rubik's cube lubricant works well LMAO. i put some lubicle silk in my switches over a year ago and they still work
