Thank you, I have only fished there a few times, however I did catch some channel catfish, and a pike. There is a boat launch down the road and some other guys in a kayak said they have caught crappie. I am sure there would be some bass in there as well and maybe a few muskie, as some different waterways flow into there. I would like to take a few more trips up there in the future maybe do a kayak fishing video.
I fished it couple times with rapalas and got nothing. I bet after a good rain you can get into some descent different species. Id like to try that spot with some minnows and see if I can get some crappie, pike and bass. There's a boat launch down the road I never knew that. I have a camp in hydetown so sometimes I mess around at the spillway on way home
@@angelomaiorano2503 The boat launch is SGL 213 Parking and Boat Access it's pretty nice below the two-lane bridges on I-79. The water is probably cooler at the dam area because of all the moving water. I know the swamp above the dam was 76-degree water temperature. I'm sure Spring or Fall time would be interesting with different species. I wanted to take shiners, but the bait shop was already closed before I headed there.
