It was gunter and decoster that inspired me to buy suzuki RM and read all the early australian dirtbike mags ever from the newsagents and i seen grunt when he was on the RM C series back in the golden years of the 70s at foster park natural terrain track and seen grunt at amaroo park he had a special works bike sent out from japan with mechanics and i only ever knew grunt when he was riding for suzuki i brought a suzuki RM 125 A and it was because of grunt rahier and decoster laporte distefano who i looked up to these people he though i never met personally so thanks for sharing this cheers and rest in peace anthony gunter a true blue champion in heaven

The loss of grunt was a sad turning point we said goodbye on 20th December 24 he certainly left his mark with me.

I am still watching the golden years of motocross the 1970s i miss the golden breed MR motocross series and i love it back in the 70s especially when suzuki had aluminium petrol tanks and the husqavarna alumium tanks and the 70s had lots of breeds of dirtbikes european japanese canada it was fun and exiting was the 1970s the golden years i wouldn,t want it any other way just the 1970s that was the day when a maico was and a canam was a good looking dirtbikes

The golden years the 1970s bri ng them back life would be so much enviromentally 2stroke friendly like a heavenly exiting experience that must be lived again if i would had a lot of money i would buy all the 70s dirtbikes and have a big house and care for these bikes
