This just made my eyes wide open to Passover and its true meaning. I’ve read exodus and listened to it on audio and never have I connected Jesus’s shedding of blood to exodus I’m baffled. Thank you for putting this into context text
You missed a very important verse. And it shall be for a sign unto thee upon thine hand, and for a memorial between thine eyes, that the LORD'S law may be in thy mouth: for with a strong hand hath the LORD brought thee out of Egypt.”
Did Moses ask for freedom for the Hebrews from Pharaoh? Did he ever ask for them to leave and not come back? Or did he ask for permission to go and worship God? I don't see where Moses says to Pharaoh that the Hebrews are leaving for good. After the 10th plague, it's Pharaoh that tells them to get out of Egypt, take your flocks and herd and bless me on your way out. God makes this Pharaohs idea. Typically a pharaoh would have killed anyone that wouldn't serve him or that might become an enemy latter. The walls of the pyramids are covered in stories of peoples being wipe from the earth and their names removed from history. This is how tyrants deal with rebellion.
