Two years ago, my husband was dying from COPD. On top of caring for him, his very lazy mother stayed with us as well and she refused to do anything for herself, instead making demands on me. I tried to enlist her other two sons in the help and they refused, so the tasks all fell on me. I was told if I would have quit my job or given up my pets, THEN I'd have more time for what needed to be done for all of them. By the time he passed away, I was beyond burned out. Now came their demands for me to give them items that belonged to him and to continue to keep their mom in my home. I told them I was beyond done and why. I sold that house, moved into a smaller home and was then told I was being selfish. I held my ground. Sometimes we have to do what needs to be done for ourselves and when the lazy ones call us out, don't take the bait, just keep walking. I have spent the past two years healing, seeing that toxic people are what they are...toxic and creating boundaries. What Joel doesn't tell you is that in doing so, you will lose some people who feel that life is all about them taking and taking. Walk away, don't look back.

Keep believing God for it! I lost two boys to death. But I continued to trust God for a young man in my fam. At age 60 my granddaughter gave birth to my boy child. She was still in college so I got to raise him til 7 yrs old!!!!! And he is definitely a " GREAT GRAND SON" in every sense of the word. Not only is my granddaughter a successful ICU nurse, but I got a boy child out of the deal. TRUST GOD AND BELIEVE. PP LUS GOD ADDED ENERGY, STAMINA, JOY, CREATIVITY AND EVERYTHING I NEEDED TO FULFILL THIS CHILDS LIFE!

Idk if you’ll ever read this comment, but I wanted to say that my late grandmother loved watching your services on tv. It was how we bonded so closely because we watched them together on Sunday mornings while we got ready to head out to go to our church for worship services. I watch you every time I’m really feeling her absence. Thank you for providing such a tender, loving, amazing memories with my grandmother. You’ll never know how much those memories mean to me now that she’s passed away. I can never find the words to truly describe my gratitude to you, your family, your crew members, and your congregation for all those fond memories.

With my job I don't like to let people down I am a health care assistant and sometimes I don't have time for my daughter, I am a single mum so I have to make sure that my bills and all of needs are met sometimes I cry but she is so supportive and said mum don't worry God sees everything and we are going to be alright this message is one of my favourite I listen to it every day.
There's only one person that I look out for and it's myself. I'm not being selfish, I'm being careful because people just want to use and take advantage of other people. That's why I enjoy my "ME TIME." It's gives me more time to focus on GOD and not this evil, corrupt satanic world 🌎. Amen 🙏✝️🕊

As a mom and caregiver it's easy to feel guilty when you take time for yourself. But I have learned it's important and necessary to do so.
Yes! So important. You can take at least 10-15 minutes a day just for yourself and choose at least one day for self-care. For me, Saturday is my self-care day: wash and braid/style my hair, longer shower, exercise for 20 min, special time for fun with friends/ family or go out to a movie/for tea/listen to music/dance, etc.

I appreciate what you wrote...especially, " Everyone is so quick to judge but don't even have their own life together!" So true. It took me years to realize I allowed the wrong people in my life. People who weren't going anywhere. Had no dreams, goals or vision. People who were jealous, envious and didn't like themselves. I thought I had to put up with these people. I learned I was subconsciously drawn to these types of individuals because of my own FOO dynamics. Awareness is the first step and I Thank God for seeing The Truth. I now give myself permission to stay away from people who are not for me, to practice self-care and just because someone ask me a question (that is really none of their business) I do not have to answer it. I can stay cordial, but hold onto my power.
We all want and need people who are for us, who believe in us, who have our back, who we trust, who will not talk about us or put us down to other people. Sometimes Christians can be nice to your face, and you really want to believe them, but your gut tells you not to believe them or trust them. We need to listen to that warning.
Thank you for letting me share. I sincerely hope it helps someone. Remember, The All-Wise Holy Spirit will never, ever lead us wrong, never!!

I work 72 hours a week. When ever I get a day off I drive to a safe quite park in a nice neighborhood and stay in my car and thank god for giving strength to work all the hours and I also watch Mr. Osteen

Pastor Joel speaks on topics that I can apply in my life. I am going through changes, I have no control over. It is as though I am on a rollercoaster that is in a mode set to cruise, but yet still on a rollercoaster. These sermons are right on time. I have learned more through these sermons and learned how to have better conversations with God. I love this type of learning when it comes to getting closer to God. Amen

I’m not a Christian but I believe in Jesus Christ and the almighty God , there’s only one god and the rest are just saviors, sons and children of god sent to earth to help the people. For one, I don’t understand why other less successful pastors or preachers are bashing Joel Osteen saying he’s wicked or not preaching the Bible but I’ve seen he always quotes things from the Bible and he has some of the most motivated speech or preaching ever that’s why I listen and learn a lot from his teachings. These lead me to believe that it’s not god’s way or the Bible that’s so strict and biased but it’s the person who interprets it that are biased and wicked and full of hate and jealousy’s pick and choose however they wanted to teach it preaches the word of the almighty Lord.

Joel, I saw you in person in San Antonio Texas, my home town and it's something I will never forget.
I volunteered to help behind the booth that day you were here where they sell t-shirts to get a free ticket to get to the front seat but I already had a front seat and the ticket the ticket that I was given that was pretty much the same seat I was in LOL! Above all I didn't care about the ticket, I was so happy working at the booth, being around people, meeting new people and serving customers. I had a blast. So God work everything for the good.
My sister lives in Houston, I hope I get to see you and your wife and family again out there.

I will say that it was only a break from social media and certain things on social media I needed a break from and I do what I have to for my life to better myself in any way that I can. We all have our struggles and I watch him and I own some books as well just because I don't comment all the time doesn't mean I'm not watching his videos! Have a great one!
