Seven years later and you’ve created something timeless. Thank you for sharing your knowledge it’s what I needed to take the next step in creating my vision.
I just had to take a moment to say thank you. The whole picking blends was eluding me until now. Watching your video I picked out all my medium colors and built my blends from there. Something about your video made it click for me. Thank you again and keep making videos.
Wow! I'm so impressed! You did an awesome job and it all looks terrific and I appreciate all the time you took! This will make it so much easier for everyone to learn and choose colors! Looks like I will be becoming a member!, finally! Ha ha I hope you get tons of people to sign up to become a member! It really is worth it - all of the projects you have done on your Channel have been Terrific! Most other people would have sold them in their Etsy shops for a whole lot more money! So I appreciate that you were offering them with your $5 membership! Thank you so much Jennifer!
WOW, WOW, WOW, I just cant thank you enough for all the hours and effort you have put into helping us begin our journey into colouring with coloured pencils (aussie here :) ). I used to paint with acrylics and after losing my son in a car accident some years ago, I have started my art journey again, this time with pencils. I am 74 now and this medium is easier for me to manage in my tiny little unit (apartment). Back to 'losing myself' for hours playing with colour and creativity. Thank you so very much, I am so happy to have found you and your wonderful tutorials. Love and hugs Elise Mitton, Melbourne, Australia.
OK! I have officially decided these Worksheets and the time and effort spent in completing this act of love will be your ticket into Heaven! I also think that you get a free "Get Out of Jail" card too! Even as a newly blossoming colorist my friends have commented how serious I am about my coloring books and pencils. Serious? Oh! They don't know serious, but they're getting ready to find out as soon as I download these! Plus I feel special being a "Premiere" supporter of you calling in life!
I can't even believe how much you have given me. I'm so lame at choosing colors ..my choices are all over the place.i start a page that looks great then add stupid colors and have to look at other people's pages then wonder why I can't choose well. This is so great.i can't wait to get this done.i subscribed to you s few months ago, and I'm so glad. Sorry to be so blabby, but I'm super excited to get these pages. You are so smart and generous..I can't thank you enough.but I'll surely be back here soon. Know that you are doing something that brings joy..you are loved ..xo Marcia in Modesto
Hi there, just wanted to thank you for creating such an informative guide about choosing colours. For me, choosing colours is a subject I've often found difficult most of the time because I sometimes have it hard deciding what colours to choose. Colour theory in general has always been one of the harder subjects to learn as I still don't understand it a great deal. But the more I've been colouring in my colouring books, the more I feel I've been improving over the years, even though I still don't understand which colours to combine. I still have a lot of fun either way, combining different colours as I have a general understanding of cool and warm tones. Just that when it comes to deciding dark and light and mid tones, I often struggle with it at times. Still it's always fun colouring in with Ohuhu markers and my steadler colouring pencils and I always will be happily using them.
I just started coloring adult coloring books and I have trouble picking colors out that are statically pleasing to the eye. I am so glad I came across your video. It’s is exactly what I was looking for. I believe this tool will help me step my coloring skills up so it’s more a pleasing to the eye. Thank you for all the work you did putting this together. I can tell you love what you do and want to help novice coloring artist like myself. So thank you so much.
I joined and used the 67 lb cardstock paper you suggested in your paper video. It went through our Epson Stylus all in one printer/fax perfectly. I've got a lot of homework to do and am delighted to have the charts and wheels for my Polychromos pencils to learn about color theory. I enjoy getting organized so it's going to be as much fun as coloring pictures. Thanks for everything.
Thank you Jen! I'm almost finished with my first set - the Prismas. Next will be my Polychromos. I love both of them. I'll also have fun seeing what other combos I can create as I have the full sets to play with. You are so generous to share your skills and knowledge with us.
I have a color wheel from Michaels Arts n Crafts. I used to find it difficult to find matching trios; however, you show us with Prismacolor pencils. I use that set and I found this extremely helpful. Thank you! :)
Great ideas you have on those charts. They are going to help me a lot. I don’t have the time right now because I’m in the beginning of moving cross country but as soon as I move and get settled I’m definitely going to join your website and pay for all your charts. In the mean time I will watch your videos. A lot of my art stuff are already packed except a few stuff. But I will become a member.
I admire your passion and hardwork :) May I kindly request for the updated link for the worksheet downloads? The current link in the description says "404 page not found"
Hi Jen, I live in Holland and I follow your TH-cam-channel. I love the coloring tools you made and I wish to buy them, but I am not interested in the monthly membership. Is that possible? Love Ingrid
+Ingrid P, we are working on opening a printing department so people can order singles from us. Keep an eye on my Facebook for future announcements as we get this new feature set up. Thanks for your loyal support. 😊😊😊
This is great! I think you should have talk about what kind of paper you use . Because those coloring books in the stores have really crappy crappy paper! Beginners will wonder why there pencils won't blend like I did
Thank you Jennifer. Printing these Tri-Tone Worksheets, the margin on the bottom is small, so that it does not print the total page. I am really learning watching your videos.
I have a 132 set and all the 100 series are missing. But it helped me pick my own colors and play with it. The shades and tones and all the other pencils, I am yet to put together into different color groups. It was very helpful to see how you put them together. Kind of helps understand the placement of the colors in the color wheel. Thanks.
+elizabeth johnson, you're welcome...isn't it amazing to learn so much about color! I always wondered why it felt so complicated and difficult before going through this process. Now I know!
I have the 132 color set. I was going crazy trying to find some of the colors on the wheel. Good to know I'm not crazy, they're simply not in the set. I'm a newbie and I'm getting quite the education. Lovin it! Thank you!!!
I also wanted to ask a bit of a question here, but I was wondering if those sheets could possibly be free to download at any time in the future? Because I feel you'd be helping a lot of other artists out there like myself who often struggle in choosing their colours. Was just wondering. Thank you for your time :)
I'm really impressed with the amount of work you put into your videos. This is such a good idea! I'm getting some polychromos for my birthday next month and I'm sure I'll come back and get the colour wheel PDF then. 😀
I don't know which country you live in but you could check with your local library if they have printers for use, often times there are for a very small fee :) !
Wow Jen....this is awesome and I am a paid member of your group. In looking at the side by side, I have to say Prismacolor. I have both sets including Caran'd Ache pencils and my favorite pencils are Prismacolor. They blend so nicely with a blending pencil. I color while watching TV with hubby and I am so afraid of something happening with the solvent. I use to paint in oils but I never painted in the room with my hubby while watching tv. What can go wrong will go wrong when dealing with paints and/or solvents. Plus, I have noticed that some coloring books tend to smear when I use the solvent to blend, particularly in the Besties books. But thank you very much for all of this hard work you did. Now on to your blog to download these tools.
I know it's a year late, but I've found if I put some solvent in a water color brush - the ones you fill with water or ink or whatever yourself - it's changed my life. It might wear the brush out, but it hasn't for me yet and I have just hobby lobby $5 refill watercolor pens. I fill one with solvent, one with water, one with baby oil, and one with alcohol and it really saves on having to get up and get each individually, find the right tools, not make a mess, and a controlled spread. Sometimes afterwards I go behind with a q-tip and it not only dries and finishes blending, but it removes any excess.
Wow. I'm thinking of using your templates for color practice with my my watercolor collection. Haven't tried printing on wc paper wish me luck. Thanks!!
Thank you Jen I did my colour wheels with my prismas and it made me look at my shades of colours in a whole new way.😀I love you live on Facebook and live for your tutorials on Facebook. I'm going to work on my tritons charts next. You are so awesome😀I also am going to try other combos for colour wheels for rest of pencils. Hugs lorna xxx
Hi Jennifer I Love love love these worksheets if I could afford them I would get them in beat and the first ones I just love what you are doing for the community these makes things so much easier we love you thank you for all the amazing things you do have a bless day and creative colorful hugs to you
I wanted to let you know it says your link to the PDF or website is not safe and the certification is not valid. I want to download sooo bad but don't want to click the link to be safe! Please let me know if you update your website! Love learning from you!!!
I am impressed with your website. It's exactly what I have been looking for about picking colors. I have started with a set of 72 prismacolor pencils and have only about half the pencils you have on your prismacolor premier tri-tone color set. I don't want to buy pencils one at a time. Do I need to buy a larger set of prismacolor pencils? Thanks
Thank you so much for the link!!! I have colored a page using the tri tone sheet all by myself (meaning I used that sheet to pick out my own colors). Thank you. I noticed when I logged in that it said my premium membership was due to expire on 10/4/17. I'd like to renew. How do I do that?
I’m just beginning to explore the art form and can see how these materials could really benefit! But what might be a silly question... I’m looking to purchase a 72 count Blick Studio Art collection. It’s as high a price point for quality pencils that I can afford right now. Will a 72 count provide enough variety to fill all the blanks, so to speak?
I like the Prismacolor pencil color wheels over the Polychromos by Faber Castell but as for the blending chart, I kind of like the Faber Castell one better. Thank you for this video and all your time you put into this.
Hi. I had a membership, but never could find the color wheel with the holes and circles. Where can I find it. Thank you so much for you videos. I do appreciate it.
Saundra Brake they are the Global Art brand. Be aware though, they do not hold the amount of pencils they are supposed to, the elastics are very tight indeed, even after using for a while. I love their quality but there are other brands out there that are very close and hold the amount they are supposed to.
Saundra I have just checked and gel pens go in fine. But they do take a little more space up so it would be up to you whether to put 2 or 3 in each elastic that are supposed to hold 4. I normally have 3 pencils in each elastic, and if I were to put gel pens or a thicker pencil like Caran D'Ache Luminance, I would probably put 2 in.
+CardiffCrafter, either one will work great! Typically I prefer laser because the ink seems to stay put on the paper better, but for this project it shouldn't matter. Have fun!
Ok another question 😳. I rewatched this video and my question is: is there a specific video that goes with the color scheme selector and how to set it up, color it and cut it out?
Hi...my name is shelese and i just saw your video on the prisma color chart you made and i downloaded the 2 pg. Chart wich is so nice by the way...and so nice of you to make tht availiable to us...so thank you...but once i saw your video on the color wheel and how your color wheel works w your chart ..i was wondering is the prisma chart that is availiable on you website cohesive w the color wheel or is that a different chart..like does the order of the colors in the prisma chart match w the trios colors? Im sorry im just ordering my prismas and coloring wheel so i wanted my swatch sheet to match your trios therory?? Thank you for your time..
This is exactly what I’ve been needing :) I have one color , olive green , and I can never figure out what colors to gradiate with. I do have a color wheel I created . That Triadic color scheme finder looks really helpful :)
Hello love your videos very informative and entertaining. I have two questions, I like those large 120 pencil sets that are on Amazon for cheap there are lots of generic brands,..which do you recommend of those? Also how do you sharpen finicky colored pencils, like prisma color without breaking it? which sharpener do you recommend? Thank you very much!
+Troy Parker, I love a big set of colored pencils...lots of colors to choose from! The inexpensive sets typically have less pigment, but if you want more shades of colors, then they are a fun option. Watch for an upcoming series on several pencil sharpeners I recently tested...it will be on my channel very soon.
Lelix is an economy brand I like, but I don't know how well the colors match Prismacolors. Problems with breakage while sharpening is sometimes the result of the pencils having been dropped or mishandled. Treat them as being fragile.
Can't download this worksheets. I logged in but it keep says Sign me up! Click here to log in. And there's up there in the corner, members logout... It's not for free, or what? I drives me crazy..

I just love your work sheets. And the explanation of how to use them. Is there a video applying the color chart colors to your pictures?

I love these new mini tri-tone color wheel sets, been busy getting mine AL worked up, thank you Jennifer !
I love the polychromos!!!!
This looks fabulous! But what do I do with the other colors that come in the set?
I just started coloring adult coloring books and I have trouble picking colors out that are statically pleasing to the eye. I am so glad I came across your video. It’s is exactly what I was looking for. I believe this tool will help me step my coloring skills up so it’s more a pleasing to the eye. Thank you for all the work you did putting this together. Thank you so much for the worksheets. Can't wait to start with it.
Thank You for making things easier for us who have no idea how to choose great colors!
Thank you Jen! I'm almost finished with my first set - the Prismas. Next will be my Polychromos. I love both of them. I'll also have fun seeing what other combos I can create as I have the full sets to play with. You are so generous to share your skills and knowledge with us.
+Kyralae Bredi, have fun making beautiful combos. It is so exciting to see what these gorgeous pencils can do!
This is really nice and very colorful can i use this technique with crayola
I have a color wheel from Michaels Arts n Crafts. I used to find it difficult to find matching trios; however, you show us with Prismacolor pencils. I use that set and I found this extremely helpful. Thank you! :)

Which color wheel do I like the best? The Prismacolor light tones are my favorite. They Jennifer! You're terrific!!!
Thanks Jennifer! You're terrific!!!!!
Hi Jen, I live in Holland and I follow your TH-cam-channel. I love the coloring tools you made and I wish to buy them, but I am not interested in the monthly membership. Is that possible? Love Ingrid

I’m so very glad I found you. I’ve been coloring with you all weekend!
Once I feel better and can keep my head up. I am going to pay for the month and get these from you. Thank you!!!!
+Erica Sendel, take care of yourself. Wish I could give you a gentle hug.
Thank you so much for these great videos. I have learned so much from you. Thank you!
What an amazing tool!! I can only imagine how much work you put into it. Thank you so much!!!
+Marsha Fowlkes, you're welcome! It did take way more time than expected, but I learned soooo much. I hope you love it.
This is great! I think you should have talk about what kind of paper you use . Because those coloring books in the stores have really crappy crappy paper! Beginners will wonder why there pencils won't blend like I did
This is great for someone to learn different colors.
Thank you for putting this together! Exactly what I needed as a newbie. Excited to put it all together.
Do you have a list like this for the greys?
That's a lot of work! Thank you for doing it and sharing it.
+Iade Nicole, you're welcome! 😊
Did you add black to get the dark tones and white for the light tones?
Thank you Jennifer. Printing these Tri-Tone Worksheets, the margin on the bottom is small, so that it does not print the total page. I am really learning watching your videos.
Do you have them already done with the colors for sale for PrismaColor in a binder or in a flip book
Do you have to have the 150ct prismacolor set to use the tri tone you've already picked out?
Nice package! I sure wish I could just buy the color combo packs!!!
I have the 72 prismacolor pencils so I don't have all the colors of three but only two so I have to experiment a little but that's part of the fun! :)
I have a 132 set and all the 100 series are missing. But it helped me pick my own colors and play with it. The shades and tones and all the other pencils, I am yet to put together into different color groups.
It was very helpful to see how you put them together. Kind of helps understand the placement of the colors in the color wheel. Thanks.

Wow, you have put a lot of work into doing this! Thank you so much for your educational videos Jennifer❤️
I also wanted to ask a bit of a question here, but I was wondering if those sheets could possibly be free to download at any time in the future? Because I feel you'd be helping a lot of other artists out there like myself who often struggle in choosing their colours.
Was just wondering. Thank you for your time :)
I love the Polychromos. Thanks for sharing such a great video!
I tried to download the those paper and I can't....I sure love how you you match the colors and I do have the Prisma colors as well ...great video
u must really love coloring , nice work on the color wheel, I’m waiting for my prisma pencils premier to come in and this will really help :)
So if I want to use the light colors as my main colors, how would I choose a highlight tones for those?
I'm really impressed with the amount of work you put into your videos. This is such a good idea! I'm getting some polychromos for my birthday next month and I'm sure I'll come back and get the colour wheel PDF then. 😀
+sianifiction, happy birthday! What a fantastic birthday gift! Enjoy 😊
Hello, I clicked on the link to download the worksheets, but it doesn't open.
This is an awesome idea , I love it. Shame I don't have a printer. Is there any way to get them in the post pre printed?
+sockwidowmaker, we are working on it...stay tuned to my channel and my Facebook page for upcoming announcements.
I don't know which country you live in but you could check with your local library if they have printers for use, often times there are for a very small fee :) !
Wow Jennifer! I just came across this video! How great is this! Thank you!
Thanks!!
Love it! Thanks for all your hard work Jennifer.
+Nancy Thomas, you're welcome. 😊💙
Jen, you are amazing!!!
+Laurri H, thank you 😊❤️😊❤️😊❤️
Thanks, Jennifer. Another great helpful video
+Nanci Vessells, I'm glad you found it helpful.
Your nails are beautiful!
Wow...This is wonderful, Jennifer! Thanks for sharing and making these sheets available.
Would the tritone work with markers?
love all the tutorials and tools makes coloring easier and fun Blessings Jo
Absolutely brilliant tutorial with so much hard work for you Jennifer🌹. Thank you
The tools work best if you have the entire 120 color set. But it is a wonderful base tool to begin to understand color theory.
Have you had other inquiries for Castle Arts specific color charts? Thank you!
+Lorna Forster, yay!! So happy to hear you are enjoying the worksheets so much! Thanks for all your support.

These tools are awesome. Can't wait to get hold of my copy :) thank you for supplying them
+CardiffCrafter, you're welcome! I can't wait for everyone to enjoy them. 😊😊
Omg thank you so much this helped me out so much
So glad it helped 😀
Have you spent any time creating any derwent artist pencil Tri tones?
I just learned a years worth of info ..you rock
Thank you for these awesome color picker tools! You must have spent many hours putting this all together. 😀
Hi Jennifer I Love love love these worksheets if I could afford them I would get them in beat and the first ones I just love what you are doing for the community these makes things so much easier we love you thank you for all the amazing things you do have a bless day and creative colorful hugs to you
+craftygirl purple62, I'm glad you like my ideas! Many more to come. 😊
Love your tool and technique...I will have to get your tools.
And I want to get a couple of those cases. This will help me in painting too.
Very interesting that you only end up using 36 colors. This looks wonderful.
Wow!!! Lovely materials =)
I wanted to let you know it says your link to the PDF or website is not safe and the certification is not valid. I want to download sooo bad but don't want to click the link to be safe! Please let me know if you update your website! Love learning from you!!!
well worth the small amount of money for all your knowledge and time.
Thank you! But I can't download this pages!🙁
Even though I don't use coloring pages, this is super nice for art overall! :00
I am impressed with your website. It's exactly what I have been looking for about picking colors. I have started with a set of 72 prismacolor pencils and have only about half the pencils you have on your prismacolor premier tri-tone color set. I don't want to buy pencils one at a time. Thank you so much for the link!!! I have colored a page using the tri tone sheet all by myself (meaning I used that sheet to pick out my own colors). Thank you. I noticed when I logged in that it said my premium membership was due to expire on 10/4/17. I'd like to renew. How do I do that?
+Jana Dean Premium membership automatically renews unless you cancel it. Thanks so much for your support. It means so much to me and my family. 😊
I laminated all my circles. Works great.
I like the Prismacolor pencil color wheels over the Polychromos by Faber Castell but as for the blending chart, I kind of like the Faber Castell one better. Thank you for this video and all your time you put into this.
Wow, wow, WOW!! You are amazing, I can't believe how much work you did for us, and for only $5! These resources are amazing, thank you so much!
Hi. I had a membership, but never could find the color wheel with the holes and circles. Where can I find it. Thank you so much for you videos. I do appreciate it.
Does the color scheme selector 10 page printout go with a specific video and if yes, which one please??
You have the most exceptional content!! Thank you so much for all your work and making it available in such an easy to use manner!!!
+Amanda Chapman thank you so much 😊❤️
What brand are your pencil holders? Love them.
Saundra Brake they are the Global Art brand. Be aware though, they do not hold the amount of pencils they are supposed to, the elastics are very tight indeed, even after using for a while. I love their quality but there are other brands out there that are very close and hold the amount they are supposed to.
capyboppy I was wondering if they would work for gel pens?
Saundra Brake they do, but wont hold as many. Let me double check later for you and I'll get back to you.
Thank you so much for checking!
Thank you so much!! This is exactly what I needed! So excited to start! God bless you! :)
Question: would they be better printed on laser or inkjet printer
+CardiffCrafter, either one will work great! Typically I prefer laser because the ink seems to stay put on the paper better, but for this project it shouldn't matter. Have fun!
Ok another question 😳. I rewatched this video and my question is: is there a specific video that goes with the color scheme selector and how to set it up, color it and cut it out?

Chart wich is so nice by the way...and so nice of you to make tht availiable to us...so thank you...but once i saw your video on the color wheel and how your color wheel works w your chart ..i was wondering is the prisma chart that is availiable on you website cohesive w the color wheel or is that a different chart..like does the order of the colors in the prisma chart match w the trios colors? Im sorry im just ordering my prismas and coloring wheel so i wanted my swatch sheet to match your trios therory?? Thank you for your time..
This is a really cool tool, wish i could make it work for watercolors somehow :D
I’m having trouble getting the worksheets. Please help? Thank you

just an observation Jenn. I used orange yellow blend in Polychromos and found it not only too light, but not orange at all
